My 1st hotmail address was in my maiden name. This one is still my primary account which I have a password for. When I got married I set up a new hotmail address in my married name. This was accessed via my 1st address and I used to be able to switch between the 2 addresses in Outlook by clicking in the top right of the screen, the drop down menu then gave me both of my addresses to choose from. This 2nd address never had it's own password. It was just kind of tagged onto my 1st address. After the recent changes to Outlook I have found it impossible to access my 2nd hotmail address. I can still log into my account & get my 1st address inbox etc but although I have tried everything I cannot find any trace of my 2nd address and cannot change any setting to accept as it will not give me the option of adding a hotmail.com address (which it is) only .co.uk (which it isn't). There was one option that asked me to log into that account to use it but as I have never had a password for that address it was impossible. I have since set up another alias email address in my married name using hotmail.co.uk just so people can contact me in my married name but I really would like to access my hotmail.com address as it has several years of history attached to it. Can anyone help please?

I've had my hotmail address for 15 years. About a month ago, I made an Outlook account that I thought was Outlook Express default email (that pops up when we click on an email address at a website we wish to email). But instead, it overrode my hotmail address. So I found a way to delete it and yet, it is still married to my hotmail account. When I go to Hotmail, it displays the inbox to Outlook. Luckily my hotmail address is in the left column of choices and I have to click on that in order to see my hotmail inbox. Not only am I unable to disattach the Outlook from my Hotmail, but I have also been plagued with Spam since then, and I don't know why.
I really want to get rid of the Outlook completely. Like I said, even though I found a way to delete it, it is still joined with my Hotmail address with it's own inbox. Can anyone help me out?

I have just received my Code, and even tho I typed it into the correct field, I cannot get into my hotmail.  My hotmail address is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.  I need your help to come on this Community screen.  Do not send me anything on my hotmail address as I cannot access it.  Thanks.

I have had a hotmail address since God was a boy (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***), all my family and friends know it and use it when we exchange email.  I would like to keep my original hotmail address just for family and friends so I opted for an Alias Outlook address (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) on the hotmail account with its own inbox.

The above works great and I receive Alias Outlook email straight into the specified inbox.

Problem: Say I receive an Alias Outlook addressed email (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) into my Alias Outlook inbox and I want to reply to it without giving my name and original hotmail address (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) in the From: address section of the email I'm sending as a reply - how on earth do I do that?

The Alias thing is a great idea but if I can't reply to Alias addressed email using the Alias address - I don't really see the point of it - I might just as well go and open another fresh email account using an Alias name.

If the above is just me being DOH and Alias email can be replied to showing the Alias address and not my personal hotmail address I'd be really grateful to know how.

Thank you all.

Hi, I closed by error my account *** Email address is removed for privacy *** (alias *** Email address is removed for privacy ***), so I cannot reach my Hotmail address anymore. Is it possible to reactive it, please ? Thank you
