I do not want Windows Live Mail to automatically download email messages, I only want to do this manually when I click the send/receive button.
I have disabled these options under Options > Mail > General Tab - all 3 options under Send / Receive Messages are unchecked.
However, the program still seems to download email messages from all my accounts every 8 hours.
Any ideas why the program is still downloading emails even though these options are unchecked?

I've searched the prior questions, and I've seen lots of other Hotmail users having safe email messages (some even from Microsoft) marked as "very suspicious" when the sender is both in the address book and on the safe sender list. I'm still having this
problem even though in some threads here it says this problem has been fixed. It clearly has not for me.

I have just had a new laptop with windows 8. I am unable to see when my MSN contacts come online, in windows XP a pop up appeared (similar to email messages) saying which contact had just signed in. Is this something I can change. Otherwise I don't know who is online if anyone.
Thank you
Trish
