Having read all the issues with the "People" (aka contacts) issues, I still have no idea how to EDIT a current contact! Is this some secret I am not cleared to know???

When I bring up a contact in my contacts list, it displays the name, company, email and telephone number.

However when I press the EDIT button, because I want to edit the details, I am not given the option of editing the telephone no.

only the name, email address etc....  so how do I edit the contact's telephone no.

By the way, the edit function only works for me using Firefox. It doesnt work using IE.

I must say, I wish Hotmail had never changed the previous set up which was far easier to use than what they have come up with now.

Can anyone help me?

windows live mail category loses its names when software is closed

I updated from Windows Live Mail 2011 to 2012.  Each category shows the number of names next to the category, but the category will not work for sending messages. The category shows as empty when used for emailing or when right-clicked to try Edit Category.  I created new categories, but they work only until the software is closed.  Then they are empty (except that they still show a number next to them).

How can we add information to a new contact?

Contact names can be added but no other information can be included. The only thing that can be done in "Edit" is to add a different version of the name; I cannot find any place to add an email address, a street address, a phone number, etc.

Trying to Edit my Groups under Contacts. Page setup has changed recently.

Good Morning

I have Hotmail. I have 2 groups under my contact list. I used to be able to edit my groups or add or delete a name under each group.

Now the setup has changed - I can edit or delete a contact BUT when I go to groups and click on manage group I can EITHER delete the whole group or add a new group BUT I cant edit my group. I cant view each group which I used to be able to do. I used to be able to open a group and it would say 25 in group or 27 in that group and list all my contacts I had in each group. Now I cant even view either of my 2 groups.

windows live won’t let me change saved email right click properties/security from system to myself to delete saved email.

Windows Live - after saving an email I CANNOT delete it. Was told to change security settings: right click on email, choose properties, choose security and change it from system to LIN. Even using Edit, it will not stay set to LIN so I can delete email. Can anyone help with that? And does anyone know another email program that is more useer friendly than Windows Live? I have found that I cannot get the answers I need easily. Their HELP section is extremely limited.

CANNOT CHANGE PERSONAL MOBILE IN MY PROFILE DETAILS

I have tried as under, even logging out and loggin in again, but still does not let me change number.  Any advice please??

To change the mobile number on your Profile, please follow the steps below:

1. Sign in to your Hotmail account.
2. Click Profile located under your name (upper-right part of the page).
3. Click Edit details.
4. Click Edit beside Contact info.
5. Change your Personal mobile number.
6. Click Save.
