Hi

Looked everywhere I think past few hours. I have a Digital ID for 1 account on Windows Live Mail. However there are about 5 email accounts. I know there is

the option to digitally sign ALL outgoing messages, but of course the accounts that do not have the ID prompt you and you have to manually deslect this. Conversely if you deselect digitally sign ALL outgoing messages, you then have to manually select the 1 one account with the digital ID each and every time you send a message.

Surely there is a way to assign digitally sign ONE ACOUNT all outgoing messages? Even if it is registery hack it will help.

Thanks.

Original title: Digital I.D.

Can someone please help me with this issue? I am still running XP and I use Windows Live Mail to send and receive all my email. The problem I have is that every time I try to send an email I get a message that says " Digital I.D. " is needed to send the email. Can someone please tell me how to get a digital I.D. and/or how do I fix the settings so I won't get this message.

I have windows mail on a laptop computer and Windows Vista as the operating system. I want to obtain a digital ID and when I follow the pathway described in Help I encounter a roadblock. When I get to Secure Help under Tools and click on Digital ID I get a window with four tabs, and the Personal tab is highlighted. When I click on Import I get the set up Wizard and arrive at a request to nominate a file from my system. Questions: Is Personal the tab I should be selecting? If so what does the request in the sign up Wizard for a file mean and how should I nominate one? Is it the file where my Digital ID should be stored? If the Personal tab is not the correct one which tab dhould I select? Can anyone help?
Hi,

This question relates to Windows Live Mail 2012 installed on Windows 7 64 bit and specifically to Digital ID's.
I tried to install a Digital Certificate from Comodo - it says it installed fine but no digital id shown in Windows Live Mail under the Personal Tab.
Also tried to install one from Verisign in case it was something to do with the Comodo certificate  - said it installed fine but installed it to 'other people tab' instead of 'personal' tab.  (Options --> Safety Options --> Security --> Digital ID's screen) . Therefore cannot send a digitally signed email.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.  Can't find an answer anywhere.
(I installed Comodo certificate fine on my computer - it's for my brother who is having problems, so I'll have to send him any possible answers to try out).

Thanks very much to anybody who can shed some light on this.  (Even just to move the certificate from 'other people' to 'personal' to enable hime to send me a digitally signed email).
