I have recently added a second account to Live mail but for some reason, I can't get the Drafts, Sent or Trash folders or any of the default folders. They are all there for the default email account but not for the second one. Can someone please help me.

[Original title: Windows Live Mail]

Hi

I am suffereing from the same problem as many others when using Mac mail (the mail.app in OS X 10.9), that I cannot see messages in the inbox. Please see my details below:

1. I set it up correctly according to this: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/mail-email/how-to-set-up-mac-mail-to-sync-your-outlookcom/afdfe981-20c7-4d4a-b6b1-9329b27f018a?tm=1379009343708

2. In my first attempt, everything worked fine, I had all messages downloaded to all my default folders (including inbox, sent, draft) and all other created folders, and I seemed to have received new messages.

3. However, after a day it stopped receiving new messages (continued for a whole day).

4. As such, I deleted the entire directory that held the mailbox and re-started again.

5. This time, it only downloaded messages in some of the folders (in this case, all the created folders and the draft - but not the inbox nor the send folder). This has been going on for a whole day. At the moment, I still have an empty inbox...

Can you help plesae?

Many thanks and regards.

Hello

I have  suggested     earlier   and want  to   point out why  there is no  Folders tab  in the  left pane it should  display all default  folders  the custom folders  and  the   size of the  folders   listed   .

Will the  Cut Copy Paste buttons  appear  in   Outlook.om

Thank You

Is it possible to change the order that custom folders are displayed in. It seems that new folders are displayed in the order they are created. I would like to move two top-level folders so that they appear directly after (not nested inside) the inbox, and then move the folders I don't use very often (like Junk) to the bottom of the list. If I can't move the default folders, I would at least like to group all of the similar custom folders next to (not nested within) each other.

Dragging a folder to a new location gives me the option to move the folder inside or within another folder, but not to move to below that folder.

Dragging a folder to the top-level "Folders" folder provides an option to "Move to Base" but this does not change the order the folder appears in.

A potential work-around would be to rename the foldders with numbers, but Outlook.com doesn't sort folders alphabetically.

--Note, I posted this as a reply to another form discussion on managing folders, but thought that it was different enough to merit its own topic, and couldn't find a way to move the original reply .
I am using Outlook  2010 and when I try to access/open outlook I get the following message;

Cannot open your e-mail default folders. Errors have been detected in the file c:/ Users/ etc

I have tried starting in safe mode and system restore. but they haven't resolved the problem.

Does anyone have any ideas of how I can resolve this problem, I would be very grateful?

Thank you

I posted this issue already.  I received a reply that I had a private message, and that my thread had been closed.  I went to my private messages and was asked for my account information.  I provided my account information -- and then -- nothing -- never heard from anyone again.  SO, I am starting again from scratch.  Like MULTIPLE people on this site with the same exact problem, I have lost all of my personal folders in outlook.com.  The only folders I now have are the default folders of Inbox, Junk, Sent, Drafts and Deleted.  I have obviously also lost the hundreds of emails that I stored in those files over the years.  Can someone PLEASE HELP???  I see this same problem posted all over this site, but I have not read one answer or solution to the problem.  Please, please help me.  Thank you very much.

I have created several folders and put messages into them in my online live mail, now outlook, account.

From this forum I know that folders and messages can not be saved from the online accounts.

I use live mail on my desktop and messages sync with the default folders (send, delete, etc.), however folders

I created, as well as the messages I put into them online do not appear in my desktop version of live mail.

How do I get them to sync?

Is there a way to move/copy messages in live mail online to a desktop live mail?

I believe I now understand that the only way to store or save folders-messages on an outlook.com online account to an offline PC is to load and sync live with the account.

I did that on two PC's, one did copy the folders-messages over the other did not, not sure why.

Any possible reasons would be appreciated, I believe I configured the accounts in the same way.
