Outlook for both Windows and Mac seem to be lacking in the customizing side.
I know there are 8 custom fields that you can add to contacts in Outlook 2011 Mac. Is there away to give those fields a unique name instead of custom 1, custom 2...etc?
My e-mail has suddenly stopped working, even though all settings are correct. ATT my internet provider tells me it is a compatibility problem with Outlook for Mac 2011. I have an old Bellsouth.net address. I have tried various pop and smtp configurations
suggested by ATT, but nothing works. I get a cannot send mail error, please enter username and password, but they are correct and even on re-entering the same error comes up. Do you have any ideas? Thank you Florida Blade. You can reply on another e-mail
address that does work. *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
I am currently running Office For Mac 2011. I am using IMAP account with Outlook. Recently, when I try to file an email in one of my folders, it leaves a copy of the email in my inbox. I cannot figure out how to stop this. Any suggestions?

I have a number of email accounts in Outlook. When I reply to an email the original email attribution has started to appear with the wrong name from one of my other accounts against it. All my addresses now have the attribution from this email account
that I hardly ever use. I have tried deleting the account but it is still happening. For example, when I reply to "john smith" the attribution for the original email in the reply comes up in the format:
From: John Smith <j*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>
Date: Sunday, 17 February 2013 21:27
To: Other Account <j*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>

I am getting the "other account" name in all my emails, including my work email, which is embarrassing, and I am being forced to change it in every reply! Help!
I set up Exchange on Outlook for Mac 2011 and it is connecting fine, downloading all my sub-folders. It says it is downloading emails (e.g. 16 in inbox and the blue bar goes to 16/16) but no emails are displayed in any folders or sub-folders. It says "connected
to Exchange" in the bottom right, and "all folders are up to date". I can send emails from it Outlook for Mac, but I can't see any. OWA is working fine. I've downloaded all updates.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
Ian
on outlook within windows i used to be able to choose which acc to use when opening up the program , now on mac i need to set the default to be able to change it , it is frustrating, how to do it similar to windows ??
I'm an Office 365 user and I'm running Outlook on 3 MAC's and 2 PC's. Everything is working fine on all machines except one. The folders on that one machine are not only not in sync but they are not in order. I tried to reset the cache on the MAC which
is what it says to do to force a resync but that is not working. The calendars are also out of sync. On the PC, you just delete the .ost file on the local machine and the file is rebuilt and resynced automatically. There does not seem to be a similar procedure
on the MAC.
Thanks for any help.
