outlook opens but mails do not show up anymore. On the harddrive i can still find them in

/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/Main Identity/Data Records/Messages/0T/0B/0M/ and then there are folder 0K up to 7K which contain mail messages. However, these messages do not show up in outlook anymore.

I have tried rebuilding the database, where after step 4 of 5 'Recovering data...'
I get the error "Your database could not be rebuilt. [-18000]"

the mails were from a pop account, not imap or exchange.

Any help is welcome!

Thank you.

I upgraded from Entourage where I was able to choose a folder where I wanted a particular sent message to go.  Does that option not exist in Outlook for Mac.  I am using an IMAP account.
I have installed the latest update available of Outlook for Mac 2011 (14.3.1)  and it was running fine for a couple of hours on My MacBook Pro which has Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.2..  Then I started getting popups saying authentication had failed at ATT (I use SBCGLOBAL.NET).  It gives you a choice of cancel or to re-enter your password.  After entering my password a million times, I just get the same answer.

I went out to the web and used the same password and logged onto my email JUST FINE.  I was having this problem beforeI installed the Outlook update and I had thought that the recent update to Outlook was what had solved this problem.  Apparently not.  I am wondering how to proceed to solve this.  By the way, Apple's Mail platform also will not work.
When deleting a message the older 'read' messages 'slide-up' to the 'active' line instead of the way Entourage would move the active line 'up' to the next newest message - so you could 'delete' messages and move 'up' the list just by deleting.

I've installed the office for mac 2011 Home&Student and I would like to upgrade it to have Outlook. I'm in Portugal and Portugal is not at the list of countries at the upgrade option.
In office for windows it is possible to enter an other reply adress then the mail adress from which you send the mail.
Where can I find this in Outlook for Mac 2011???
I've installed the Office for Mac 2011 Home & Student in my Mac, and i want to upgrade it to the Home & Business to use the Outlook. But the option to purchase the license key doesn't appears in the "word" menu like indicates in the tutorials. Could someone help me sending the link where i can purchase the license key to the upgrade, or telling me what to do?

There is a detail, I'm in Brazil, I think it don't change anything to purchase, but its better let you know.

Thanks
So, I just recently exported my .pst file from a pc and imported it into Outlook 2011 on my MAC. I did this a few times because of folders getting mixed up and such.. Here's the weird thing, my pst file was about 10 GB, now my Microsoft User Data folder  is about 50GB. What can I do about this? Anything?
I backed up using Super Duper, and I can find my contacts in a series of files that end with ".olk14Contact", but I can't import them into Outlook for Mac.  Is there another way to open these files without knowing the original Identity?Bak
