How to Import emails to Outlook 2011?

I am looking for a solution to transfer my emails from apple mail to outlook 2011 (mac). The one thing i need badly is not to disturb my folder hierarchy because i have many mails to transfer in many folders and transferring through imap has caused me time wastage and disturbed folder hierarchy. Is there a way transfer the mails the way i want.

constantly re-occuring bogus pop-up error message

I am using Outlook 2011 for Mac with two e-mail accounts an exchange account from work and a me.com account for personal use.

The setup of both was a snap, however every few minutes I get a pop-up error message that says "there is a login failure for my me.com account do you want to try entering your password?". It makes no difference if I reenter the password or deny the message, e-mail continued to work, but the message is annoying.

I have read the other strings on this issue. But they do not help.

I have deleted the account, quit outlook, removed the keychain, and reset things up manually from scratch…the result is unchanged.

However another suggestion was to create a new password for the me.com account is simply too complicated and cannot be a viable solution. My me.com account has emails working on 2 other programs on 5 computers and at least 4 mobile devices, and it is linked to an iTunes account that is active on at least 10 devices.

Can someone please give me a good solution?

Password protect single email account

I currently have two exchange email accounts for work and would like to password protect one of them so that when that account is selected it prompts for a password to access the account so I can protect sensitive information from being accessed or emails missent from either home or the office.

I have found that the Windows version of Outlook 2007 and beyond does this but have been unable to find a way to perform this task in Outlook 2011 for Mac. Is there a way this can be done and if so.... How?

If this is not possible, is there a 3rd party plugin or software that will allow me to have this functionality that anyone knows of?

Lync freezes upon launch.

I have a user (OS X 10.6.8 with Lync 14.0.4) who was previously using Lync without problems. She noted that it took a long time for the app to close when you quit it (which is true for all of us, but it eventually does quit if you give it enough time). But she grew impatient and did a force quit while it was closing. Now when she launches it, the Lync menu bar appears but then it stops responding. No windows open. In Activity Monitor, the Lync app says "Application Not Responding".

I tried:

- rebooting

- repairing permissions

- clearing caches

- removing the Lync-related certs in the keychain

- uninstalling/reinstalling Lync

all to no avail. It is worth noting that if I log in using my own AD account, Lync will run normally. So the problem is in her user profile...somewhere.

Has anyone run into this? And more importantly, if you did, did you ever find a solution?

CAN I SET DEFAULTS FOR NEW APPOINTMENTS?

HI.

I am using Outlook for MAC 2011 with Office365.

I won't be using the Office365 to enter my data very often, so I'm not concerned about that. I am concerned, however, about the following fields in CREATE NEW APPOINTMENT in OUTLOOK.

I would like the following defaults:

STATUS FREE

ALL DAY EVENT UNCHECKED

DURATION 0 MINUTES

Can I set the defaults in the Outlook Program somehow?

Office for Mac 2011 Product Key

I bought and installed Office for Mac 2011 a couple of years ago. I decided today to check out Outlook since it offers email scheduling and Apple's Mail program doesn't. When I opened the program it asked for my product key. It was a digital download from digital river, but I can't find the email, and it looks like I didn't save the key on my macbook. I use Word, Excel, and Powerpoint all the time... is there a way to find it via those programs? Why aren't all programs registered at once? Serious pain in the ****.

Outlook Deleted Items counter showing incorrect number of unread mails

I'm using a MacBook Pro OS X 10.6.8, and Outlook 14.2.2

The unread message counter on my deleted items folder shows 5 more unread messages than are present. Consequently if my unread messages folder has 10 unread mails in it, the counter shows 15.

Even more irritatingly, when I empty the deleted items folder, the counter still shows 5

Is there any way to reset this counter?
Is there a configuration file which stores this number, which can be edited and therefore reset?

This is pretty minor in the grand scheme of things, but any help on this would be appreciated.
