Problems Opening Outlook 2011 for Mac

Yesterday I bought the licence and installed Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac.

The software installed correctly. But I can not open the program.

Everytime I click the Outlook icon I see just for 2 seconds the Outlook menu (Outlook, File, Edit, etc). And the, this menu disappear and only get Outlook and Edit wich are corrupted becouse can not open them.

I got this error message:

rebuilding Main Library error at the end (-18000) “your database can’t be rebuilt

Outlook says database must be rebuilt.
After 10" or so rebuilding going through 5 steps the error message comes up
Your database could not be rebuilt [-18000]
  
I reloaded Office 2011 for Mac and the same thing occurs???

how to import 10.24g .olm file to outlook for mac 2011

I export outlook for mac file from my i Mac, it become outlook for mac LOG.olm and size is about 10.24GB

Then I import this LOG.olm file to my outlook for mac of Macbook, but I found .pst file only in my outlook for mac file.

Outlook 2011 preferences and menu corrupt display

A few days ago I upgraded to the latest version of Microsoft Office 2011 and I noticed that in Outlook, the preferences menu is corrupt, the size of the menu is smaller and has been cropped. Even when I click on tools>accounts, the menu that opens is blank white box.
Has anyone experienced this? Is there a fix?

google is deleting my messages

If I delete messages on my Gmail account, they are also removed from my computer in Outlook.  How the heck is this happening?  And how the heck do I keep it from doing this?  I want to be able to delete messages on google but keep anything I have downloaded to my computer.  I have never ever seen this happen before.  Kind of freaks me out!!!  lol  I just installed this and have started to use this on my Mac, I hope someone can help me out here.  I was OK with Outlook when I use it on PC's, but this is a little different on a MAC, I figure it has to be some setting somewhere, but I'll be damned if I can figure out what or where.  :)

Clear notification cache on a mac?

I had to rebuild my user profile and start fresh.  I did the OML export and import, but have noticed that I now get 2 calendar notifications for every single calendar event.  I tried the 'right click on calendar and select folder properties then empty cache" trick, but I'm still getting them.

Any other ideas for clearing this on mac outlook?

When I send an e-mail with a contact list, it is not sent but goes into my outbox and has a yellow triangle icon indicating a problem. what is the problem?
