I have a new MacBook Air that sits in the box because of my stress in having to use Outlook 2011 instead of Entourage 2008.
99% of the stress comes from fear that the many hundreds of emails that still have file attachments to them won't convert into Outlook with the files attached. I work in a home office environment by myself, so there are no issues around other users or networks.
I've looked around here and on the web to find out what happens to the attachments when I import Entourage 2008 data into Outlook 2011 and I can't find a hint of an answer.
Does anyone know what will happen? Assuming I'll lose all the attachments, does anyone have a suggestion other than the obvious of what I should have done over the years...detach the email attachment and save it where it belongs!
Thanks.
Any newer information on this subject? I find it ironic to have difficulty using Outlook (regardless of the OS) to retrieve both email AND calendar from Outlook.com.
And please...no one tell me about POP or IMAP. Email can be made to work I'm really interested in calendar sync.

Hi
I am checking if there is a fix or work-around to force the Shared Mailbox to saved sent emails in its own account and not the primary user's account.
The fix on Windows systems will not work because these users are on Mac OSX and Using Outlook 2011.
This has become a major issue because even calendar invites sent through the Shared mailbox are showing as the user's and replies are also showing up on the users' calendar and not the shared account where everyone can see it.
Thanks for any information and help

Dear,
Working with outlook on an iMac (Microsoft office: Mac 2011, home and business).
This morning I got a pop up for an upgrade of Outlook when starting email. After this upgrade I lost all my contacts and folders. Can you help in recovering these items. Where f.e. to find this in the Time Capsule?
I am not very technically educated, so instructions for dummies would help for me.
Many thanks,
Inge van der Heijden
Ahhh!!! My work email won't open. All of the other office products open fine, but outlook for mac 2011 won't open. This is the start of the error I get... does anyone have any ideas?

How do I use the "Create poll option" using the Microsoft Outlook in Mac?
I have two Identities in Outlook, lets say identity A and B.
If I make B the default identity, it holds as long as I do not restart the computer. if I do a restart it resets to identity A.
Any suggestions as to how to fix this?
I have just installed an upgrade from Office for Mac: Home & Student 2011 to Home & Business 2011.
However, Outlook appears in the finder and the program opens with no problem but no Outlook window appears. There isn't any error message or prompt but the program is definitely open. The only drop down menu option offered is 'Edit'
I need to restore a back up Outlook file so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi! Perhaps the solution is very simple and I am wasting your time.
In the contact card, I want to open the tab "Organization" and can't do it. I'v looked at all the settings and I haven't found its activation.
Please help me, I would be very grateful.
System: OS X.
