I can't seem to search beyond a certain date in Outlook for mac 2011, not in my sent folders, not in my deleted folders. I have also archived old mails to reduce space used, any ideas?
Am using Mac OSX 10.7.5
Message for MS update opened; I followed the prompts; update performed and completed;
I had to leave and shut my computer; when I returned and opened Outlook, the account was deleted.
I see folders in the MS User Data\Office 2011 Identities...
How can I restore my Account, contacts, and saved emails??

Since upgrading to Mavericks I've experienced connection issues with Outlook. There has been issues with my inbox synching and mail being sent. My local Outlook install is connected to an Office 365 account and since our whole company uses Exchange this
is a major issue for me. Does anyone have a fix? Is this is an Office 2011 issue or Mavericks issue?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Is it possible to switch between languages for spelling and grammar support in Outlook 2011 – I have to write in both English and French, and can't find any easy way to switch between the two! Thank you!
So I have an issue with getting my contact search work in Outlook.
Backgorund:
- I have both Outlook 2011 and Lync running with the latest software version.
- When I do a contact search in Lync it works absolutely fine.
- When do a 'check names' while inside a new email window I am able to resolve address.
- But when I do a search in 'contact search' in Outlook address book it gives me 'no address found' message.
History:
- I had the same issue when I installed office for the first time. But somehow after some random unknown reasons my contact search started running one fine day. So I never bothered.
- However, I have got the problem again after I upgraded to OSX Mavericks. Now I can't hope for the random unknown to happen again.
I have already tried the following two solutions suggested in other discussions:
- Re-indexed spotlight.
- Deleted microsoft outlook synch plist file in preferences. No Luck!
I am relatively new to MAC so any help will be appreciated. Thanks!!
I am getting the spinning multicolor wheel periodically in Outlook 2011 since upgrading to Mavericks. I get a 5-second pause about once or twice a minute. There does not seem to be any specific action that causes it.
-Outlook version 14.3.8
-Account is Exchange. No other mail accounts are connected.
-MacBook Pro 16gb memory, i7 intel
So far I have:
- Re-indexed the data storage file
- Removed large amounts of email. Trash, Deleted Items, Junk mail. Archived old emails.
- Tried using a different user profile
- Removed and added the exchange account
- Totally removed office 2011 and all related files and re-installed it.
Any ideas to resolved this issue?
I'm having a problem with Outlook 2011 (updated) constantly wanting to download old emails (~800!). I see this problem posted by other users, all of which appear to be POP accounts. My problem differs because it is a Gmail account configured for IMAP
with Outlook.
Because I've never had this problem befor upgrading to OXS 10.9, I see elsewhere that this may be a problem with this particular OSX because Apple made changes. However, those references are generally about Apple Mail, not a 3rd party software like Outlook.
I also see that a fix is in the works for Apple Mail. Because I see the same happening with Outlook, does this imply the problem is with how OSX handles email accounts, and that I'll have to wait for Apple? ... or can I expect a remedy from Microsoft?? (...
whether it be a fix found here in this forum, or an software patch later)
EDIT: My apologies ... the account I'm having problems with is my only POP account, which as it so happens cannot be configured as IMAP. I'll need look into how its configured for deleting past emails ...
TA (thanks anyway) :)
Since updating my MBA 2013 to OS X Maverick, 10.9, my outlook stopped working. Though it was sending mails, it was not able to retrieve mails. I have updated office 2011 and have removed and installed the same again to take care of possible error. Can
any one help?
if anyone can help me i would forever be grateful...

I'm using a macbook air and brought Microsoft office 2011 everything was going fine till i clicked on outlook and now i can't get rid of this screen!!
it won't let me shut down my computer either... any experts out there?
thanks :)
Office Reminders isn't reminding me at all. Unlike Office Notifications in Entourage, Reminders in Outlook never pops open on my screen at all, much less the reminder-in-advance time. Yes, I have it turned on, the time is right and the calendar is right
- all settings available are correct. But Reminders does not pop open on my screen, ever. Not when I wake the computer from sleep and not even when I restart. I have to remember to click it to see what's coming on my schedule, and I have actually missed appointments
because of this. I could rely on Notifications - Reminders is utterly unreliable. I've looked everywhere I can think of for a setting that will make it pop open, but can't find anything. My wife's Reminders works just as it should, so what's wrong with mine?
I miss Entourage.
