Hi there.

Outlook duplicates message when moving into a subfolder.
I'have usual local email hosting provider with IMAP SSL protocoll.

I did that

  1. When message receives
  2. Then i move into a subfolder, (so far ok)
  3. After the move Outlook syncs automaticliy folders and after sync pops a duplicated email an the new duplicated emails is UnRead
I'also maked a video of this problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8Sr3T12f38

I'have gooeled around and tried every possible solution out there
Rebuild database, new identy, remove accound and re add account. And no use.

My Mac Mavericks and Outlook has the lates updates.

I dont have this problem with other email clients.

This is really annoing.

Hi- how do I share outlook contacts from a MAC? My boss has a MAC and I need access to update and amend her contacts list. The permission she previously granted gave me access but meant I received all her calendar invites as well, instead of her! I need her to be able to give me access to her contacts without affecting her calendar. Any advice really appreciated....Thank you!!!!!! (also I have a dell)

I have tasks set in Outlook (Mac 2011) and the reminder list used to automatically pop up when I opened Outlook.  That no longer happens.  How can I fix that?

Thanks

I have a Windows XP computer with my email in Microsoft Outlook Express.  I have been trying to import the mail to Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011.  I finally managed to migrate a copy of the email into Microsoft Outlook 2000 and Microsoft Live Mail so I have three copies of the same mailbox on one computer in three different programs.

I managed to export the mail into a .pst file only to get the message from the Outlook for Mac: "Outlook for Mac can only import Unicode-based .pst files which are the standard format for Personal Folders files for Outlook (for Windows) 2003 and later versions. ANSI-formatted .pst files, also known as Outlook 97-2002 Personal Folders Files, were the standard personal folder format for saving data in Outlook for Windows in versions 97-2002."

All third party software that I have seen that might be able to accomplish this task seems to require some version of Outlook more recent than 2002.  Of course if I had Outlook 2003 or later then I wouldn't need the third party software anyway.  I can't even find any version of Outlook on Microsoft's website except Outlook.com.

Is there ANY way for me to transfer the mail files from the old computer to the new one?

I recently had an issue with Outlook crashing and having to rebuild the database.  After the rebuild was unsuccessful I remember my time machine backup that goes about every hour. I tried to use the Microsoft User Data from my Time Machine but I discovered that it lacks the database file that is included in your identity folder:

This is how it looks on my hard drive:

I have nothing excluded from my Time Machine backup so I am not sure why it excludes this file. I have been backup manually ever since the crash but I wish I didn't have to think about and let Time Machine do the work.  I am running 10.8.5 on a Macbook Pro and I have the latest update for Office 2011. Any ideas?

I have just downloaded an update for Outlook for Mac 2011 (service pack 3). Every time I open the program it stays a couple of minutes open, then I get this error message:

Does anybody knows a solution for this problem?
Many thanks
I have a new Macbook Pro and have installed Office for Mac 2011 and use Outlook as my primary email system.  All seems to be working well until the last few days when I have an error message come up every few minutes as follows

'Specified string literal length exceeds maximum supported string literal length' Error code 1026.

It does not appear to be preventing emails being sent/received, but there is no further detail as to what is the cause or solution of the problem.

Would appreciate any feedback or advice.

Thanks
