I have successfully linked my hotmail account between my iPhone, iPad and mac book outlook 2011.  I am unable to sync Mac Book Outlook 2011 contacts and calendar with my iPhone and iPad.  I was able to do all of this with my PC Outlook…help.
I had to re-install Office for Mac 2011 from my backup drive. For entering the product key, I got some kind of error about the server. I had to verify by phone. Now, Outlook opens, but does not stay open long ... maybe 10 seconds. How can I fix this? It is not very productive to have to close and re-start every 10 seconds.

This is my error report:

Without setting up any email rules my email suddenly began routing all inbound messages to my "Important" file with nothing going to my regular Outlook for Mac inbox. This is on a gmail account that had been working normally previously. How do I correct this new behavior and get it back to normal without creating rules to defeat the auto routing to "Important"

When sending an email through Mac-Outlook, I attached a file that was too large (41 MB) and it hung up my Send/Outbox process. I learned how to delete the file from the Outbox but I still keep getting a constant message from google of a file too large (like every few seconds). How can I purge that email from my Mac-Outlook and end this message?
This problem started about a month or so ago.  I did not change any setting in my outlook program nor outlook.com account.  The account is shared by my wife and I so we have always left messages on the server so that we can both read them from our computers and our iPhones.  It has worked before.  When we did this when we had a wild blue.net email account, we had to add "recent" before our email name in our outlook setup but didn't have to when we transferred our email to outlook a few years ago.
When I use the contact search window to find a contact it displays a short version of the card with only 1 telephone number or email address.  To see the full card requires clicking on an almost invisible box.  Is there a setting that will display the full card initially when found through the search box?
Outlook 2011 for Mac doesnt start after last office update (office 365 home premium). Error: An error occured while launching: an unknown error has occurred in Outlook.
Hi,

I was cleaning my mac and I must have deleted something important.

I cannot open any of my office tools... well they open and then crash with varying versions of this message.

What can I do to fix this?

Thank you!

Nearly 10% of my emails show a strange behaviour:

When I select and export an email message via drag and drop onto the Mac OS desktop and look at it (Cmd-i), it says that this email (.eml) has zero kByte file size. Zero kB! But within Outlook, it has content, some even have attachments, some emails are really big, others are one line of text only. But in any case, ZERO KBYTE can't really be! When I put this Zero-kB EML back to Outlook it then is empty. Of course, because on the desktop the file size was already null.

I tried to find similarities between these zero-emails, but nothing seems to be the source:

- different sizes

- different senders

- different history (some are forwarded, some come directly to me)

- some have attachments, some do not

Rebuilding the database didn't help.

When I Ctrl-Click one of these Zero-kByte emails within Outlook, and I want to choose "Show source" (German original text "Quelle anzeigen"), nothing happens. Only these zero-emails can't show their "Outlook_MessageSource".

My system:

MacPro 2.8 GHz QuadCore Intel Xeon, 16GB RAM

Mac OS X 10.9.1

MS Outlook 2011 (Vs. 14.3.9)

I have about a dozen accounts in Outlook 2011.  when I select a new message it always opens it in the default account, with the signature attached to it.  if I now change accounts the signature stays and I need t change it by deleting it and putting in the other one.  Is there a way to have this also automatically change to the signature attached to the chosen account?  Or could I choose any account of the 12 as I create a new message?
