Hello,
I try hard to organize my contacts in Outllook and many of them are double.
How can I, without using all the social Networks and google, organize my contacts?

Thanks a lot

I am considering moving from POP to IMAP.

However I do a lot of work online.  Example.  I work in a place where no Internet is available.  I might download over satellite (pretty costly so I do want to be online as short as possible) or go somewhere where I have a weak UMTS signal and want to download and go offline.  Sometimes I need to travel to a place where Internet is available.

The question is could I work the IMAP account the same way as a POP?  I download and have all the files on my MBP.  Next work on answering and go back online to send stuff.  I ask because I understood that IMAP leaves everything on your server and only download if you ask it to.  But in my situation I want it all to be downloaded automatically local and not have to go back online to download an enclosure or read a mail.  I need to be able to work with the files like in a POP account while being offline.

I hope I explain this clearly and look forward to your wisdom.

I have rebuilt the database multiple times, have most updated Outlook 2011 software and am using a POP account. There is a group of 123 messages that I can't delete. Tried the applescript editor solutions elsewhere on these threads, but it doesn't work because I get a Syntax error message. See below for script:

tell application "Microsoft Outlook"
set theMessages to the selection
permanently delete theMessages
end tell

PS: Am not running antivirus software

Any other suggestions? I'm about to give up and shift to something else.

Hello.

I have several Outlook 2011 users who sometimes send emails that show up with no body content.  It does not always happen so it is very difficult to figure out. This started happening about a month ago, at least that's when these users started reporting it.  Outlook 2011 is at the latest version (no updates available).

Environment:
Windows 2003 SP2 64 Bit
Exchange 2007 with SP3 Roll Up 12.
TrendMicro WFBS for virus scanning on the mail server.  I have turned off body content scanning thinking maybe it is scanning the content and deleting it.
Exclaimer Mail Utilities to stamp on signatures.

Please help!  Thank you.

I have this issue on all Mac Office 2011 program that have an "Insert | Symbol..." option. It shows me the symbol options but an error pops up saying "There was a problem connecting to server 'my-old-server.'" That server is no longer used and is not available. I can't figure out what setting in Office points to that server so I can remove it. I've search spotlight for the name but it doesn't return any results. How I can remove the reference to server and stop the error from appearing?

Thanks.

When I sort my mail to display by date received (i.e. newest mail first) everything is fine but when I then restart Outlook 2011 the mail is sorted by the 'from' field'. How can I set my mail to display by newest mail first so that the setting remains after a restart? This is a new issue because it only started happening a few days ago, prior to that the mail displayed correctly.
I run Keychain First Aid and it's fixed for less than a day.  Then I run Verify again and get the following:

All the Office programs work fine on my Mac with the exception of Outlook. It keeps closing after a few seconds/minutes every time I open it. I've tryed looking up the answer online but I haven't find the same problem.

Help me please... :)

(In case you are following my post about 'Outlook 2011 does not delete files even though they are deleted', this is on a different machine as this problem).

I have se trouble with Outlook that did not go away after reinstalling it (like crashing in different ways), and so I decided to rebuild the database.  However when I open the rebuild identity, mails in some folders have completely disappeared, some mails have now gobbledygook in the main body instead of the text that was there and I have 36 new folders 'recovered' (numbered 1 through to 36 in my identify.

Any suggestions how to rebuild without this problem?  Or other suggestions how to get to a fix?
