I have a hotmail email account, which I use on an IPad, IPhone, and a Windows 8 (right now upgrading to 8.1) laptop. I'm sick of deleting messages three times. I understand that I need to switch to IMAP from POP, but for the love of heaven, how do I
do this? I got to account settings on the computer and don't get an option that permits this change. Please help this non-techie! Thanks . . .
I have a laptop and a Surface Pro running 8.1. The old implementation of Skydrive had a system icon tray that allowed me to set what folders synced/downloaded automatically to the Surface, which I need so that I can have some files downloaded for offline
access/work, but can't have them all auto download because memory in Surface is not enough. Is there any way to set what folders will auto-sync/download on the Surface?
i have a lock file on my computer and can not delete it it happened when i down loaded a game to compressed zip folder to send it to a game company to see if it was corrupt. went to upload it to big fish and it would not upload. stated there was an error and could not complete. sent it by skydrive and also google drive but the compressed files stated lock file. does anyone know how to get this off my computer? i sent another game before to big fish and it uploaded just fine this game will not.

I recently installed 8.1 update when I try to add an app it prompts me through the micosoft account info. Once I go through the process and get to the point of switching accounts to Microsoft account it informs that I already have an account on the device.

Just bought this computer and will not let me into Hotmail. Had to sign up for outlook. Says I should be able to get my Hotmail account added, but when I try to get it, it pops into my outlook account and says I already have that account. Very frustrated
that I can't get my business emails that are already there! How do I get to Hotmail and not outlook???
I am in the process of changing my provider, so will lose my O2 addresses. So that I can change providers more easily in the future I signed up for a couple of outlook.com & gmail addresses only to find I can't use them with Windows Mail (Vista). Having
used WM for several years I have my Contacts & folders set up to suit my way of working. Have imported contacts list into Outlook but can't get on with it. Evidently it is not possible to install Windows Live Mail as it is no longer supported for Vista.
Is there any other option that works like WM?
Where can I find a list of my Hotmail emails?
I have 5 member accounts on outlook.com
4 of 5 work. when I try and access the 5th it says my account is invalid...or try to change the password I get the same

I have been receiving Delivery Status Notification (Failure) on and off for about 2 months when sending from either of my hotmail accounts. The email addresses I am sending to are correct as I am successfully able to send from other email (gmail) accounts.
What is the problem?
