I am unable to send messages in WLM and get the following message ""The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'xxx' Server: 'mail.optusnet.com.au' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E Protocol: SMTP Port: 587 Secure(SSL): No Socket Error: 100".
There are 3 computers using the same email address - the other 2 are having no problem sending but my messages just sit in outbox. There were no changes to my computer that I know of and would love any help (in plain english please). Thank you

I never wrote or sent an email about "comments". These have been coming to me for a couple of weeks
- basically any time I send a message from my own website email (which is set up to send a copy to
my hotmail address) to one person in particular (& her email is not hotmail either).
This has been set up this way since last year. Again, I am experiencing this after sending an email
from my private domain email to another private domain email. However, these spam emails, above,
all get delivered to my hotmail address, directly?
At first I thought it was a glitch- until today when I received this email from the president of our local
seniors computing club:
"The most irritating SCAM around at the moment causing mayhem is the Hot
Mail One. Where people are thanked for reporting a scam from xxxx person
then refusing to allow the onforward of a legitimate e-mail. Any clues?.
People are getting mad about this one. One university has totally
responded to this one and just junks anything that comes in (even though
it is legitimate)."
Can someone look into this? I'm already tired of it. Is this some sort of spam/address mailer?
I'm on Linux Mint- not Windows, which leads me to think it's my email account that is compromised...

Subscibed to ad-free outlook and still receiving ads. The ads prevent me from using outlook.com (specifically the calendar) to its full capacity--I can't add events. Any suggestions on how to correct. Contacted Microsoft Billing Suppport and they suggesting

OOPS !!! Earlier (July 2013) I asked about "double signing of my password". When I sign in, after typing my password, I get a notice, "The email address or password is incorrect, try again". When I type the password a 2nd time, I get through.
I cleared my Cache and also cleared my "passwords" which neither helped. To answer earlier questions: 1. onset -a few weeks ago 2.I'm using only one browser/computer 3.occurs with my other different Outlook. com accounts on the same browser.
I'd even go into the Registry if someone could help me.

As info, due to incredibly - "sucky" - Yahoo upgrades this year, after 15 years of technical gliches and wasted time that I don't have spare, I've had a gutful of Yahoo. Also, due to Yahoo's continuous blatant unobjective media reporting - I won't support that site ever again, and will be encouraging all my relatives and friends to migrate. As a public e-mail service, Yahoo should butt-out of playing/ manipulating the mass populations and stirring reactionaryism - that's what politicians do.

Hi all,
Ok, so I've set up a custom domain on Outlook.com and activated the user account in question.
I know I can set up the account in Outlook 2013 as "Outlook.com or Exchange ActiveSync" using m.hotmail.com as the server, but I would rather set it up as POP / SMTP since then it can go into my existing PST and that way I can also continue to use a single
calendar in Outlook 2013.
However, I simply cannot get SMTP to work. POP3 works fine (pop3.live.com, Port 995 with SSL)
But SMTP never works. Everything I've seen says to use port 587 with TLS using smtp.live.com, but that doesn't work. In fact, I have tried every combination of the following ports and security settings and none of them work:
Ports:
25, 465, 587
Security:
None, SSL, TLS
Has anybody gotten this to work, and if so, what's the secret?

Ever since my email account changed to Outlook I am constantly not receiving mail from Achicha,Brandally and several other sites. I have been in touch with Achicha etc several times,each time I am told emails will be reinstated but nothing is coming through.I never had any problem with Hotmail.Please advise

I am having tow excessively irritating problem . Please help me .
P 1 : I attached a picture that clearly shows that there is an extra outlook.com option ( Ash color box ) along with skydrive , people , calender and outlook mail option . Where did that new one come from and please tell me how can I remove it and get back to usual . For your information this is happening for a particular browser of a particular pc and that is my pc and I am using chrome . I tried firefox in my pc there was no problem . I tried with other pc using both chrome and firefox , everything was okay . This is happening only with my pc's chrome browser .
PS : I logged out and logged in again for several times nothing changes.
P 2 : Recently I connected my outlook with facebook and now I am chating in facebook through outlook . But there is another problem . Why my messages are repeating all the time ? I have posted a picture of that please help .
