How can I "cancel my billing service" to delete an account?
I would like to close and delete my Hotmail and Microsoft Account, but when I attempt this I constantly get an error message telling me "To close your Outlook account, you must first cancel your billing service. Go to Microsoft Account and Billing Services
at https://billing.microsoft.com."
I have nothing linked to this account and I have never used these billing services. Therefore I am also unable to cancel it.
Is there any possible way around this?
Hi, I cleared/deleted all my data under my "Downloads" folder in my mac and that resulted to sky drive icon being deleted as well (which I thought that shouldn't happen) and when I installed the SkyDrive again my files in my account are all gone. I thought
it supposed to stay in my SkyDrive account wether or not I have the icon in my mac or not? Checked my files using a browser and in my iPhone app and it also deleted the copies. My SkyDrive account is empty! How will I recover those files?
I have lost all my contacts in Windows live mail as the program doesn't open correctly. If iI redownload the program again will I get my contacts back?

Why is it not possible to reply directly to answers being sent to my questions?
I am still trying to retrieve my lost emails from over a month ago and getting nowhere with microsoft 'support'. In brief -
- I woke one day to find all my emails gone and an empty Inbox 2 which I never created.
- Microsoft keep sending me private messages which I am unable to open even after following directions that had been sent as a reply.
- I do not understand why I cannot reply directly to responses from microsoft staff.
- I have continually requested a number to call so I can actually SPEAK with someone to speed up this process.
I am beyond frustrated and extremely disappointed in how long this is taking to resolve. I I will not be able to retrieve emails tell me.

- Does this issue persist on a different computer? Yes, I only use my computer at work and my iPad at home but I did try to log in on a friends computer and emails were missing.
- Have you tried signing in on a different browser? Yes, I am now using Chrome.
- Does this issue happen when using a different account? No idea what this means, I only have, and have ever had, one hotmail account.
- Did you receive any error message upon opening the private message? I just would not open. None of them.
- Are you accessing your account through web based Outlook.com or mail client? Web based Outlook.com
looking forward to the next reply and, as always, hoping this matter can be resolved as it is taking up my time and yours which is not effective management of time in a business.

My friend's Microsoft account (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***), suddenly disappeared (meaning, when he logs in it says that account doesn't exist anymore) two weeks ago. We are aware that an account is removed after 270 days of inactivity or so, but that is impossible because
he is using that account to log in to his Windows 8 system.
Right now, he can log in to his Microsoft Account in his Windows 8 desktop, but he could no longer synchronize, and he could no longer access his SkyDrive account which contains some of his important files.
He needs his account back, please help us. Thank you.
When I try to log in to my account (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) it says that "It looks like someone else is using your account". I cannot send the other email the code because that email no longer exists. I tried filling out the questionnaire multiple times but it sends
my other email a message that I didn't provide enough information to unblock my account. What can I do as of now to recover it?
