It's so darn confusing on my computer to have two different Outlooks!!!  Doesn't make any sense to me at all!!  What was wrong with "Hotmail" anyway?
How do i fix it?
I'm having trouble accessing my outlook.com account. I have lost my password, and the security questions do not work. What's more the number that I previously used is not the number that i have now.

I have supplied all the information I have regarding the account, but it does not accept my answers. It suggests to open a new account altogether.

I require this particular account as it is one of my primary accounts.

I hope you can assist me.
My SkyDrive client is unable to sign in.  I have gone through couple iterations of this issue.  It was originally working but then got to a point where it would just sit in the system tray while gray and say "not signed in."  I could uninstall it and reinstall it and it would work until it was restarted.

Now it will not work at all no matter how many times I download it and reinstall it.  Currently when I run SkyDrive it ask for my login credentials and it just says "Signing in..." I have tried two different accounts and I still get this behavior. Which I have no trouble logging into on skydrive.com or live.com.

In the logs I am getting this error:

>dwError=0x3e4
08-04-13,21:13:28.482,127,1580,0,PAL,cwinhttp.cpp(1239),0,0,ERR,JUMPONFAILURE Failed: ,msg=HRESULT_FROM_WIN32(((WINHTTP_ASYNC_RESULT *) lpvStatusInfo)->dwError);hr=800703e4

I have uninstalled it dozens of times and deleted all files associated with SkyDrive, the program files folder, the app data folder, and the skydrive folder.  I have restarted and I have downloaded SkyDrive multiple different times.

The other computer on my network is having no issues with SkyDrive.  The only difference is that one is wired while this one is using a wireless connection.  Both go through the same router.  Both Windows 7.

I have used both the OpenDNS and Google public DNS servers on this computer.

I have used the Microsoft tool to reset IE as well as manually verified that IE set to medium-high.  I have lowered it to medium, I have reset all zones to defaults. I have removed all of my trusted sites to ensure that it was no using the trusted site settings.

I have verified that I have the certificates Baltimore CyberTrust Root, VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G5, and GTE CyberTrust Global Root (not GTE CyberTrustGlobalRoot) and they are not expired.

Out of all the posts with these issues none of the above solutions have helped and I have not found any other solutions.  I am not sure what else to try.
My inbox is empty, and I can see the message telling me that my messages have been moved to my POP folder - however when I go to my POP folder is empty. Where have all my emails disappeared to ?

Is there a limit on file attachment sizes in Hotmail.com when sent from a child's account?

The problem was first discovered while trying to send an e-mail using Hotmail (now Outlook.com I guess) with a .jpg attachment from the Windows 8 Mail app on a user account with Family Safety turned on (child's account).  The message would not send and said to contact the provider (haven't figured out how to do that, except via this community).

Troubleshooting led to going to the Hotmail/outlook website and composing messages via this interface.  This worked for .jpg files up to around 4mb.  When attempting to attach larger files, an error occurred in the uploading.

Further troubleshooting commenced and I was able to successfully attach larger files to this same Hotmail account when accessed via both an administrator account on the Windows 8 PC (I added the child's account info to my mail app and was able to attach larger files) and from a Windows 7 PC (vice Windows 8).

Is there a setting somewhere that needs adjustment on the child's user account so that she can send larger .jpg files?  Or, have I discovered an inherent limitation in the Windows 8 operating system?

Thank you in advance as I've  been crawling the internet for the past several days and haven't figured out how to resolve this issue.
