As of today I have not received any emails.  I'm not even getting any in the Junk mail folder.  I've checked as many settings as possible but can see no conflicts as to why I'm not receiving emails.

Please advise as to how I can fix this.  Thank you.

The primary email address associated with the Microsoft account I use on my Xbox and Windows Phone is one associated with an ISP. I also have an outlook.com alias associated with this account as well as my mobile phone number. I will be leaving my ISP in a few weeks and want to know whether or not I can still manage the account even if the primary email address is no longer active. E.g. will emails relating to this account be sent to the outlook.com alias as well as I will not be able to read or respond to emails sent to the ISP address?

If I need to rename the primary email address my understanding is I will not be able to use the existing alias, is that correct? Also, according to the information listed here I will have to factory reset my phone. Is that correct? The same page states that renaming isn't recommended so I'm hoping I will be able to manage the account using the existing outlook.com alias - I really don't want to reset my phone if it can be avoided.

When I open Outlook I have to hit send/Receive and then hit send/receive again to start downloading new messages. That's the way I want it.  But now, as I'm reading the downloaded messages and dealing with them, new messages keep coming in and I lose track of what I looked and what's new and coming in automatically. I'd like to have outlook download new messages ONLY when I tell it to and not just constantly when Outlook is open. Anyway to do that?  Outlook 2010 running on Win 8 Pro.

Thanks,

Steve

Have been using Windows Live Mail for years with only 1 email account.  Also use the Calendar event notification feature in Windows Live Mail to send me emails of appointments or as reminders.  Recently added a gmail account to Windows Live Mail.  I can send and receive emails in the Windows Live Mail gmail account, however, when I try to send Calendar event notifications, the notification emails are are only sent to my original email account and not to the gmail account in Windows Live Mail.  How can this be corrected.

I often need my Personal Web OneNote notebook locally. It is stored in SkyDrive and available from multiple devices and OS's (W8, W7, iOS). That's fantastic, except when I have no internet connectivity (airplane, cottage, etc.)

How do I create a local copy of my web-based notebook?

I'm using Office 2013 on W7 and W8. When I try to Export the notebook to a Word .docx file, I get an error message saying that "something went wrong and we can't do what we're asked". Same thing when I try .doc file. Same thing if I try PDF file.

This is brand new install of W7 and O2013.

My Hotmail account on Microsoft outlook.com has very recently been hacked so I have had to set up a new account with a new e-mail address ad password but I   n eed to recover my e.mails from my former account urgently and contacts as they are mainly connected to my work, how can I do this please ??

I just did a major archiving run using Outlook's "Include items with "Do not auto archive" checked.  This generated over 1 GB of archives that had not been archived before.  But when I checked the Outlook.PST file after this, it had actually grown from just over 3.x GB to over 4 GB.

Why didn't the Outlook.PST file shrink in size to match the amount of the new Archive.PST file I created just for this big archive run?
