Question about Outlook Express

I have been using Hotmail.com for centuries.  When I was redirected to outlook.com, I added my Hotmail.com account alias to my outlook.com.  When that happens, all mails do show up in my outlook.com.  However, my Hotmail.com account is deleted.  That caused all my contacts to not be able to send email to me.  This needs to be resolved immediately.

I can't seem to rename my primary alias.

I'm currently using *** Email address is removed for privacy *** as my primary alias. I wanted to change it to *** Email address is removed for privacy *** but I kept getting an error which said please try later.

I then added *** Email address is removed for privacy *** as a second alias, thinking I first need to add it. I can then set it as primary alias. But no such luck!

How do I change my primary alias?

I was typing an e-mail and must have hit two keys at the same time, a box appeared and disappeared before I could read it, then keyboard locked.

I exited Outlook and then, of course, could not get back in 'cos I couldn't type in my username and password.  Have tried various things, all the 'F' keys and logging into my husband's user account (keyboard works fine there) to google in the problem, but no success.
