my email is   *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.  Have reset password but still can't get my emails.  HELP!  Thanks
I have been uploading to sky drive for seven months now and I had a problem with my phone and was asked to reset it by a costumer rep. and I have 0... nothing in my account, Anyone know what happened to my pictures?
Hi! I tried to remove/change calendar notification email address and when I click the link Add or remove email addresses under Registered email addresses for calendar notifications I am sent to page Email address for notifications where I can add new address but I can't remove the old one. Any ideas how to remove the address?

Thanks, Lea

Our Windows Live Hotmail Plus account is paid in full until next July.  A few days ago we just stopped receiving emails.  We access our account online and we can still send messages.  How do we get this fixed so we can get our emails.  Various people have told us their emails to us are bouncing back as undeliverable.

Windows Live Hotmail Plus customer service appears to be nonexistent.  We have already spent hours in chats and phone calls with Microsift where they send us in endless circles of people who tell us hope sorry they are and then transfer us to another useless person who repeats the process.
Beginning on 11/01/13 at about 11:30 AM CDT, my outlook emails are being delayed and are being received only occasionally since then. The 11/01 emails arrived at about 6:15 AM CDT on 11/02. Then nothing until 5:15 PM on 11/02. Since then nothing has been received. This is also the same condition on my mobile phone. I have also received messages that emails are being delayed from *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and messages that there is a problem with Outlook that is not related to my computer. I was directed to try again or check the system status. Nothing seems to help. Please check things out as I have used Hotmail (now Outlook) for many years and have never experienced a problem like this. I also now depend on Outlook to receive current emails on my mobile Windows phone. I have no problem with sending, just receiving.
So in outlook 2013 I go to file->add account

Choose manual setup(as the automatic option fails of course)

Choose the second option:  outlook.com or exchange server etc

The next screen requires this info
My name:
email address: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
mail server:
user name:
password:

two questions:
what is the mail server name?
is the user name the whole email address or just the blah section.

thanks in advance

how do i link myother hotmail email accounts that were linked when it was hotmail
I have filed to try to get access to my account after entering the incorrect password too many times. As you know, people have a million passwords these days and in trying the different variations, I was denied access. I have completed the form to try to get it back by giving info like recent contacts, etc. unfortunately the alternate email was set to a work email for a company I no longer work for. The form said I would hear in 24 hours... It has now been three days. As a longtime hotmail user (approx 12 years) I am beyond frustrated. If this isn't solved ASAP, I'll be switching to google gmail and not looking back.

Would like an update where my application stands to gain access. I can provide quite a bit of personal information but there doesn't seem to be any options for solving by speaking to a human being. This is embarrassing for a company that is supposed to be a leader in technology.

Sincerely,

Frustrated
I recently bought a windows phone, and I set up a hotmail account for this phone shortly after, maybe 3 weeks ago. For some strange reason, Outlook temporarily blocked my account, citing unusual activity. I don;t see how this is possible, since I just started the account and never used it. They sent me to verify my account with a phone number. Unfortunately, the geniuses who set up this phone verification do not consider Sierra Leone, where I am, to be a country, and so I cannot verify my account, which 3 weeks later is still blocked. I have sent numerous emails to the help desk,  and recently I got this answer from MERC, who is an advanced specialist. This dunderhead tells me that there is a limit to how many emails I can send at the start of an account (see below). However, I have not been able to send a SINGLE email from this account, since they blocked it almost immediately.  Today, I get another message from Hotmail advising me to verify my account -- which of course I have done many times and can;t because the experts at Hotmail do not recognize that Sierra Leone, in West Africa, is a country.

All they have to do is unblock my account, which I have asked them to do many times. But that would be too simple for the advanced support team that includes Marvelous Merc. Have never had anything similar happen to gmail accounts. Now i regret buying a windows phone -- as who knows how lousy that support system is?

Hi,

I am Merc, I'm a Senior Support Analyst for Microsoft. I am part of the Outlook.com Support Escalations Team.

We apologize that your country is not listed on the country list to verify your account through your mobile phone. You can send a feedback regarding this on this page.
Regarding the sending limit, you will have to continue using the account but please note that since your account is new, there is a daily limit to your sending capabilities.
Continue using the account to increase your reputation and this limit will increase.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Thanks!
Merc
