I have had a year worth of emails disappear when I recently opened my Outlook. They were in folders in my Outlook.com account; when I went to download them to my Outlook on my computer (not a mac), they disappeared from my outlook.com folders and didn't
appear on my computer either. I'm really irritated that they have disappeared. How do I get them restored?
The title pretty much sums it up.
At first, I got that blasted window that said some tasks could not be completed, but if I just ignored it, made it "go away" after a period of time, it seemed to finally link in and upload new messages.
Now, since that bloody MS update and whatever happened that had MS Outlook down for a day, it does not work at all, and even when I go to Hotmail/Outlook on the web, my calendar isn't showing, so how do I know if it is uploading new messages?
I have NOT changed anything on my computer; no settings in Hotmail, nor WLM.
Has this happened to anyone else? Do the Moderators, or anyone have any solutions? Please advise!

I have been locked out of my Hotmail account for quite a while now. My IM had been hacked and was spreading among my contacts so I stopped using it for a while. When I tried logging back in I had forgotten my password. Everything I tried failed. I never
truly gave up, but now I'm been directed to Outlook. Will I ever be able to retrieve my mails, if so how would I do so?
When I send emails from my Outlook.com account, duplicate emails are being sent. This has occurred since the problem with Outlook.com.
The problem occurs both on my Outlook 2013 software application running Windows 8 and my Windows 8 phone.
Does anyone know if this issue has been resolved? My other devices can sync Hotmail @ m.hotmail.com, but still cant sync @ blu-m.hotmail.com???
AS above, I receive E-mails in my Hotmail account, but whe I click on Reply or Fwd , nothing happens,
the Reply/ Fwd window does not open.

We have had terrible service all week. What is going on? Who is going to fix this problem? Can not open anything, then message comes from Outlook that they are working on the problem? Really? Does it take 5 days and counting to do that?
