I'm using Android's (4.3) default Email app to sync my Outlook.com email, contacts, and calendar to my phone (Nexus 4).  When I create a new calendar event from the phone (using Android's stock Calendar app), email invites for the meeting do not get sent out.  The meeting DOES appear on my calendars (on the phone and on Outlook.com), but no invites are ever received by any of the attendees.

If I go directly to Outlook.com and edit or delete the meeting, all invitees correctly receive meeting changed/cancelled emails, so the event clearly includes the proper email addresses.

I have struggled with this for days now (new phone), and I simply can not make it work.  I've created numerous test meetings and used several different email addresses for various attendees (including myself), but the problem persists - meetings created directly on my phone never generate the invitation emails.  Any help would be appreciated...

This problem has been posted MANY times, and always results in Microsoft doing some secret "tweaking" of the affected Outlook.com account to get the problem resolved.  Well, I'm also having the problem and my account needs the magic tweak.

The problem:
I'm using Android's (4.3) native Email app to access and sync my @outlook.com email, contacts, and calendar.  When I first add my account to the Email app, most of my contacts are quickly brought down to my phone (not sure why there's a couple that never get synced, but I've got bigger problems right now).  So far, so good.  The problem is that after that initial sync, the contacts are never synced again - not automatically nor when I explicitly tell Android to sync the account.  Specifically:
  • Changes made to a contact directly on the phone (using Android's native People app) are never synced back to the server
  • Changes made to a contact directly on Outlook.com via the web are never synced back to the phone
  • The addition or deletion of contacts also fails to get synced
The only way to get my contacts synced again is to delete my account on my phone and re-enter it.  This is totally unusable.

Please work your magic on my account so that 2-way sync will work like it should.

Thanks
I have tried several times to access my account. All of the information I have provided is not sufficient. Help? I haven't used this account in several months and it is extremely important that I regain access to THIS account.

Hello there,

I'm hoping support technician, admin or the likes will handle this ticket.

I cannot close the my Outlook.com account. It is the account that I'm currently signed in with.

Email address is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

PUID - 0006BFFDA5E800A4

When I go about the usual way to close it, I get the following error

"We can't show you that page
Our server is having a problem. We're working to fix it as soon as we can, so try again in a few minutes."

I dout this is an actual server problem because I've been trying to do this since last Friday.

I don't have an XBOX account with it and am pretty sure there is no subscription either.

On top of that, I don't have any data whatsoever in the account itself.

If you need a reason of why I'm doing this, it's because I have other Outlook.com account that I use as main.

If you need my permission to close this on my behalf....

You have my permission to go ahead and close this account as well as delete all data associated with it.

Thank you and regards,

Nay Linn Aung

Had been using Outlook using a home computer, not on a network, but after being away for a month received the following message:
"hotmail.ost cannot be accessed. Must connect to Microsoft Exchange at least once before you can use your Outlook Data File (.ost)"
Can't get into Outlook at all . Has anyone solved this problem?
