When I am trying to download attachments from my e-mails (even ones that I have sent to myself) I receive the following message on a toolbar that appears at the top of the page:-
"To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors. Click here for options..."
However, when I click on "Display Blocked Content", nothing happens and I am still unable to open the attachments.
When I click to view the attachments (PDFs, Word documents, etc) online this works, but then when I try to download it, I receive the following message:-
"There is a problem with this website's security certificate.
The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address.
Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.
We recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to this website.
Click here to close this webpage.

As everyone else that I have spoken with does not seem to be experiencing this problem, it is possible that my Outlook account has a virus. I have also had other people check their Outlook accounts on my laptop and they can open attachments perfectly fine.
I accidentally deactivated my account I lost everything,. I really need my emails back..
Things a tried that didn't work:
restore deleted email messages
Go to your Hotmail Inbox page.
Click on Options (located on the upper right corner of your screen, next to a question mark icon) then “More Options”.
From the Hotmail Options screen under the category Customizing Hotmail, click “Advanced privacy settings”.
Under Deleted messages category, tick on "Let me recover deleted Messages".Click Save.
Hi, I am using Outlook (converted from Hotmail) but can't download files - as individual files or as zipped files. Nothing happens at all. I have been solving this by forwarding to another email address and downloading from there but this is unsustainable! I have IE10 installed. Grateful for any ideas. Thanks

I have been a long time user of Family Safety.
Since a few weeks, when I try to login to the Family Safety client on the PC, it says, "The email address or password is incorrect." But the same credentials work on the login.live.com website.
I had Family Safety 2011, so I uninstalled it and installed the 2012 version. I also changed my password on the website. But the problem remains.
This has happened on two of my PCs at home, both Win7. My login id is a gmail email address; could this be the problem?
