On the 30th August I deactivated an account which I opened just days ago for a university club. Upon logging into my own personal email I was met immediately with exactly the same deactivation screen. I clicked 'cancel', and went to my Outlook
Email page. Every single email is gone, as are all of my folders.
I tried to post this issue at the time, but it would not publish for some reason.
This is in no small way devastating, I had extremely important correspondence and contacts there.
There is nothing in my 'deleted' folder but an email welcoming me to Outlook (I have been using Outlook for many months now). Recovery brings back absolutely nothing.
Please, for the love of all things, help.
I logged in my hotmail account after few months and come to know it has been changed to outlook and all my emails are gone, only one email was there from outlook. I lost my 13 years of emails. I tried all the suggestions mentioned on this forum regarding
recovery nothing has happened. Is there any way I can get them back? Please let me know or should I close my blank account.
I just recently closed my Microsoft account so that I could start fresh, but I would like to use the same name as before. While going through the setup process, I get an error stating that the address is unavailable.
Will the name become available over time, or is the name permanently lost? The name that I would like to use is a part of my brand, and I would really like to continue using it.
My husband's account seems to have been hacked - and the security question has been changed. Who can we talk to to regain control of his account?

Microsoft have suspended the use of my original Hotmail email account as they suggested that it has been hacked and advised me to open a new account which I have done. They also advised that it would be possible to import my contacts from the original account to the new one but I cannot find how to do this, can anyone assist with how to do this?

The program used to open with a far left column displaying all my picture folders - just like I see when I open My Pictures directly.
It disappeared.

Over a couple years of using Photo Gallery, part of Microsoft Essentials> At the far left, there was a column that listed all my Picture files - just the same as what I see when I simply open My Pictures. Photo Gallery opened this way and stayed this way.
It disappeared. That whole column. I don't know how to get it back and how to ENSURE it won't disappear again when I do.
PLEASE SOMEONE - help!!!
I find it very hard to navigate & use Ph Gallery without this.

I tried to share my outlook (hotmail) calendar with my gmail account. The invitation was sent, and when I tried to log in, I get a runtime error page. Runtime Error

For some reason, the user interface has narrowed, such that the right-hand one-third of the screen is now grey (blank). (The reader pane is turned off; I never use it.) Whatever caused this also changed the layout for writing an email. Now, when I write
an email, the To box goes all the way across the screen, and same with the subject box; the body of the email is under that, rather than the way it used to be with the To box in the left column. I can't find any way to fix this.
Yes, I rebooted but it didn't make any difference. The problem is on my MacBook Air. When I signed in on my iMac desktop, Outlook was fine so the problem is somehow related to the Air.

When I first started using Hotmail I could email photos to my daughter. I have been unable to do this for years as it wants me to send them via Skydrive which never works.
It is not straightforward to use, but when she clicks on the links (thumbnails) in the email it doesn't open up the photos. She has tried saving them from the links (thumbnails) and then viewing them but they are all blurred.
It is very upsetting as I cannot send her photographs of family events any more, but the silly thing is that I used to be able to just attach them years ago. We seem to have gone backwards instead of progressing.
Perhaps I should change to another email provider.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way of sending photos on Hotmail before I change to another email address with all the associated inconvenience of letting everyone know?
