Hello,
I am a PHP developer and my users with hotmail accounts cannot receive any email from my apps such as user registration messages. I am using PHPMailer library with SMTP authenticated connection to a SMTP server. It's only when user has a contact in contacts list with exactly the same Name and email address when there is no problem receiving emails. That's quite bad because at the very first time users do not have my address in their contacts list and thus they cannot receive the first communication.
Also I am having no problem with other email servers such as Gmail or Yahoo. Please, can you give me some advice or solution?
Thank you very much.
Hello,
I have been directed here by the Outlook twitter. I have tried to list quickly below the issue;
- Have 2 Hotmail accounts - will name Account 1 and 2 for quickness.
- Tried to log in to Account 2 with the usual password etc...said my password was incorrect. Worried someone else had accessed my account I had a new password sent to Account 1
- Tried to log in to Account 1 and encountered the same problem. I opened Account 1 over 10 years ago so have no back up email addressed for this and could not remember my security question
- I requested a new password to be sent to my work email and was asked to fill in a questionnaire. Many of the question were not relevant - e.g My billing information, I have never paid anything for MSN/Hotmail/Outlook. So could only fill so much.
- Received an automated email saying I had not filled in enough info with no option if you cannot fill in anymore.
- Resorted to Twitter to try and get some sort of help, directed me here where I had to open ANOTHER account just to ask how I can get access back for my other emails.
Would really appreciate any help as I really need access, especially to Account 2.
Thanks in advance.
hello,
how can we have a reset password functionality for (sparkmedia.ps) domain members.
thanks.
Please help....
I logged into Oulook.com last week and was presented with a screen asking me to provide my security information within 7 days or my account would become blocked. I skipped this for 5 days and then completed it on the 6th day.
It started with the line "Call us overprotective".
I entered an alternate email address and received an email with a security code on it. This security code was required to enable me to gain access to my Outlook account. I got straight into my Outlook account and it is working now. I have now (5 days later) changed my password as well.
The page appeared when i clicked on my usual link from my Favourites in IE9.
Please can somebody tell me if this was a genuine request from Outlook?
I'm more than a little worried that my account may have been hacked!
Thank you for your prompt help
Tony
why have they blocked my account? :s
