Folders/emails in Windows Live Mail have disappeared, even the Quick View category.

Original Title: I am in WIndows Live Mail and all my saved files for the past year have disappeared,  just a minute ago my Quick Views folder with unread email,  contacts,feeds has now also gone WHAT IS GOING ON???

 

The Live Mail screen has toolbars horizontally across the top of the screen with the main area of the screen divided into three vertical panels

The leftmost panel allows you to open Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Feeds or Newsgroups.

I have currently selected Mail so the adjacent Panel(middle) shows my inbox messages with the text of the selected message in the large rightmost panel.

So the leftmost panel is the source of my angst!

Up until yesterday evening I had (with mail selected)

 

Quick Views

     Unread email

          "      from contacts

          "      feeds

ISP name

     Inbox

     Drafts

     Sent Items

     Junk email

     Deleted Items

     Saved Files

         some 30 or more folders

                   "

                   "   

                   "

                   "

Outbox                            So what has gone is all the saved files, some of which had up to 100 emails and as I started this note the "Quick Views" group also vanished

I cant delete some of my contacts in livemail (2012)

On 5 or 6 only out of 300 contacts I have in WLM 2012, the delete button is nto highlighted, so I cant delete them. These seem to be contacts which have been automatically created, either from import or some other way, because they all have very little detail, mostly just full name and sometimes a partial home address.

Any ideas on how to delete these unwanted contacts?

my computer was shut down unexpectedly and now Windows Live Mail cannot find quick view folders. System says they can’t find them. Does anyone have a fix? Thanks.

My electrician shut down the electricity without telling me and my computer was shut down while processes were running.

I have a Window Live Mail window with an error message, which I cannot close. When I click anywhere, there is a ding sound. Could you help please.

Recently after I finished typing an email and click the SEND icon.  I got a window saying Window Live Mail in the title bar, with an error message.  But when I tried to close it, wherever I clicked, I got a ding sound, the Window Live Mail window won't close.  Could you tell me what has happened and explain to me how to close the window now.

I have generated a CSV file from Yahoo. I want to import that into Windows lLive Mail. I have tried a few times. but the e-mail adresses don't seem to get entered. Obviously I'm doing something wrong. What?

Live e-mail does not open

As of May 22nd, my " live e-mail account " does not open.  There have been no changes to my computer and I have not added or deleted ( that I know of ) anything.  When I click on the icon on my task bar as I always have ( years ), I just get the " thinking circle " and then it goes away after about 3 seconds without opening.  My Outlook e-mail still opens so I can get my mail but I like " Live " .

I can receive emails, but when I try to send an email it say errow on smtp setting but the settings is correct incoming Is 25 and outgoing is 110 help.

Why can’t I get Live Mail to Block Senders that I designate??

When I go to Block Sender in Live Mail, it only sends that one message to Junk.  All subsequent messages from that sender are not blocked automatically.  Help!

How to recover the emails I transferred to my local storage

ive somehow manage to delete them all ..on finding the windows live mail folder in the operating system under local  app data i have my folders listed and the subfolders but there all empty ! i see no recovery method here,are these e mails lost they go back 18 months ,operating system is windows xp with sp2 but these folders are listed as i had them but are empty.  i did transfer quite a lot of mail to local storage,so my question is are there copies on the server to help recovery,are these lost forever..ive used recuva but that's not found them either.
