I installed Windows Live Mail through Windows Essentials months ago but I uninstalled it soon after because it wasn't letting me log in.

I'm trying to install it now (I need it for work), but whenever I run the installer it shows that Mail is still installed. No trace of the software anywhere. I've tried all solutions I could find on the internet but still no luck. 



Any quick help will be greatly appreciated as I need this for my work. Thank you!

Old emails reappearing in inbox – 1200 pages

My inbox is full of old emails from 17 Oct, 1200 + pages long. I received an email from outlook saying my account is growing too fast and now im not getting new emails. Help please! 

Windows Live Mail is very slow receiving and syncing email from an IMAP server

I am having a problem.  We recently upgraded from POP to IMAP service.  The speed of receiving emails and syncing with Windows Live Mail running on Windows 7 decreased dramatically.  I have concluded the problem is specific to Windows Live Mail based on the effects observed and noted below.  Here are all the devices & software we are using and how they were affected after the changed to IMAP.

  • Windows Live Mail + IMAP account = slow as molasses on a cold January day
  • Apple Mail =  same as before the change from POP to IMAP; fast
  • iPhone Mail = fast
  • WebMail for the IMAP service (on various machines & browsers) = no change; fast
  • Windows Live Mail running on the same machine + a 2nd email account which is POP = same as before the change; fast

This is very frustrating.  Does anyone have a solution he/she can share?  (P.S. My Windows software is up to date).

I cannot open any of my mail in windows live mail, windows 7 nor my g-mail, but I can open it under my server cox.  I can forward the mail and can read what it says but cannot open in regular mode.  I cannot access my addresses either.  I did receive one e-mail that  I was able to open, but new e-mails today do not open.  I did a restore, I closed down computer and unplugged it, and disconnected my internet server,  I did a disk cleanup defragmentation and ran malware.  Can anyone help??

Transferring .eml files

OK, I'm lazy, didn't want to scroll through 50 pages of forum questions to see if this was addressed. I need to transfer e-mail folders from Live Mail on an old PC to Live Mail on a new PC. I understand they are .eml, not .dbx files, (Live Mail as opposed to Outlook). What process do I use to get them relocated? Can I export them to a flash drive (I have a 8 GB drive) and import to Live Mail on the new PC? These are mostly e-mail messages that were saved in storage folders that I want to be able to access. Any help or a link that would walk me through this would be appreciated.

WLM permanent “off-line” (continued)

Have seen posts from undeinerahapsody (28/4/13 & cathyMcD (4/5/13) . Got the elusive menu up , tried Tools & File but "off line" is never seen .

Cathy said "thanks I found it" , but I cannot . Any help would be appreciated after 2 days of frustation .

W7 / IE / Orange  , The XP/ Orange web page showed the "off-line" under Tools  but not on W7 screen on a different lap top .  ????????

Help!! Locked out of my Hotmail account of 15 years!!

I have a hotmail account (and have had for 15 years!) and i believe it was hacked and now I can't get in!  I have gone through several attempts with the 'help' links on Hotmail and received emails back on my wife's email but I cannot get back into it....I filled out a 'form' in detail but eventually it came back saying it wasn't enough and now it says I should just start a new account!!  I have tons of personal stuff locked in there, contacts for people... I will lose it all!!!  HELP!!!  There must be a way I can get help on this???  I can list off all kinds of details about the account, folders, contacts, recent emails sent etc....
Please help someone!
