I can't go offline from the IE 11 windows screen file or tools button( no option offered) or in Windows live mail from the off/online button. I ran SFC, windows essentials repair and set IE to default values - no luck. I am online all the time and can't
get off to stop mail from downloading. What else can I do?
There was a Windows Live Essentials 2011, & 2012. There was no 2013 edition, will there be a 2014 edition coming this year?

THE EMAIL ADRESS IS *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and its saying account does not exist I don't what to do its got documents in need on there.
Can not delete e-mails in windows live can only junk them/ or read sent e-mail. Maybe a virus? thank you for help

I use Windows 7 professional (64bit) and have Windows Live Mail (Version 2011, 15.4.3508.1109), but when I get any attachment (pdf, doc, html, etc) to an email, I can't open them directly. I can always save them and then open them with no problem. This
is a new problem and wasn't happening a couple weeks ago. I'm not aware of any big system change I've made that could have caused it. Other than this problem, my WLM works normally.
I've run the "repair" option on Windows Live Mail.
In the Options/Security I have "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus" unchecked.
All my file associations seem to be working ok.
I turned off my virus protection (Microsoft security essentials), but this didn't help.
I've looked at other threads, but haven't seen this same problem solved. It should be something obvious.

I am unable to send emails from any of my sub accounts in Windows Live Mail 2011. Had been working fine for years. Spent hours with Time Warner today only for them to finally tell me that it is a Live Mail issue. I can log onto their website and send/receive
mail fine. I can do the same from my I-Phone.

I have deleted old emails and rebooted, etc. I have tried turning off my Avast anti-virus software and have changed both the servers and ports while trouble shooting with Time Warner. Below is a copy of the error message I receive when I try to send an email from any of the accounts in Live Mail.
The message could not be sent. The setting for your outgoing email [SMTP] server might need to be configured. To find the server settings for '*** Email address is removed for privacy ***', please contact your email service provider.

I am not receiving any emails at my live.com account. I was receiving mails just fine but suddenly i noticed that i am not getting the emails people say have sent me. I tried sending an email to my self from another account but it's not showing up either in my inbox or junk. This is a very crucial email account, so if anybody can help me it would mean a lot to me.

I discovered over a year ago that all my saved emails from 1997 through February 2001 have disappeared. I had emails in that account which were important from family members who are no longer alive that I would pay money to have back. This is extremely
important to me. After a lot of back and forth with the Microsoft customer service team, this is still unresolved and it has been over a year. I never deleted them and my account was not hacked. Something must have happened to the server and I can see
I am not the only person with this situation. I will pay for these emails back if you could locate them.
