I had installed this program thinking it was only an upgrade to Msft. Security Essentials. I didn't want the additional products but after installation I noted my Windows Live Mail was uninstalled. I do have Outlook but do prefer WLM. I had to go to a restore point to restore Windows Live Mail and wonder if this is a glitch or if this is inherent in the new product. If this is inherent, why no warning?

Thanks,

Arnold

when I scan a document and try to email from my printer I get a non ASSOCIATION MESSAGE

I have been using Windows Live Mail on Windows XP computer.  I am about to change to a Windows 8.1 machine.  Is there an equivalent program available for Windows 8.1 that I can use and transfer my stored emails to.

I have looked at Windows Mail in 8.1 and it does not seem to have the same functionality as Windows Live.

What are my options??

Incoming Windows Live Mail messages are marked [Spam] even when sender from Safe Sender list or my Contacts folder.  I repeatedly mark the sender as Safe Sender or Safe Domain from the Junk dropdown menu, yet these Senders continually are marked [Spam].  I do not use Live Essentials, only Windows Live Mail.  How do I stop incoming mail being marked [Spam]?

I am getting this message when I try to start Windows Live Mail in one account on a Windows 7 Home Premium machine, and the program refuses to start.  The problem appeared out of the blue yesterday.  I can start the program OK from my own (administrator) account, and from a new Test account I have set up, but not from the account for the main user of this machine.

Have done a search on the web, but not found any solution there.  Can anyone help, please?

Can anyone help me why my Windows live mail wont work anymore please

In Windows 7 Live Mail, I changed the name of my mail folder, and now when Live Mail starts, I get error message 0x8E5E0226, which says my calendars are corrupted. Tried to uninstall and reinstall, doesn’t work. I looked up the answer in Support, and advice said to delete the calendars, but I checked the file address referred to in instructions, and there are no calendars, corrupt or otherwise. I deleted the folder, and still Live Mail will not open. What’s next?

Could this somehow be related to the fact that this computer can’t copy a gig of files in less than 8 hours?

Thanks for your time.

Recently started getting this error message:

Unable to send or receive messages for the New Sky account. The email server returned an error.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR [SYS/TEMP] problem retrieving message.
Server: 'pop.tools.sky.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC90
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes

I note that many other people have reported similar problem but I can't find any solutions reported.

My system is Windows 7 64 bit.

I have several sky email addresses and the others all continue to work without problems

Windows live mail has been running ok for the last year but over the last 3 days has opened and within 30 seconds comes up with a message saying there is a problem and it is shutting down and windows is trying to find a solution. So far nothing has changed so can anyone advise please.
