I am unable to send messages from my windows live mail  and keep getting this message:

An unknown error has occurred.

Server: 'mail.optusnet.com.au'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80070057
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No

One of my messages had photos attached and I opened the Windows Live ID and tried to send the messages, but the error still remained. I tried  switching the Protocol SMTP Port from 25 to 587, but still the same.

Does anyone have wisdom to share?

i am getting error code 80048821 when i try to sign into windows live hotmail.
Ok so,
My inbox, email accounts, email information (above the email) and calender on the right is blurring up a lot, but the toolbar up the top and actual email is absolutely fine. This is extremely annoying.
This also happened to one of my games a few days ago where only the main and in game menus would blur.
Please Help.

Thanks,
Patrick

Hi There,

I was advised incorrectly by my Web Hosting Company to create a new profile using Windows 7 Home Premium-Live Mail, which we did without realising nor told of the consequences.

Luckily we researched and found you were able to restore all the Inbox and Sent Folders through this option, however all the Recipient's Email Addresses are missing in the Sent Folder and have been replaced by our own Email Address ?

Can someone please!! offer a solution that will work as it is a Business Email Account with over 3 Years of Email History.

Many Thanks

Greg

Isent an email to a rejected address and it keeps putting up the error box and asking me to resend. How can I get rid of the email permanently  it obviously is not a good address.

I want to import messages from a .wab file into Windows Live mail.  Every thing I have read says I should be able to do this.  But cannot find the option anywhere

It was a wrong address and it's been fixed, but I can't clear the message.  It keeps repeating.  I'm running under Windows 7.  Both the Sent and Outbox folders are empty.  I've checked the mail account settings and made sure that the outgoing server requires authentication.  What am I missing?

Here's the message (I've blocked out the original address):

The message could not be sent. The setting for your outgoing email [SMTP] server might need to be configured. To find the server settings for *** Email address is removed for privacy ***', please contact your email service provider.

Whenever I try to attach photos to an email the email won't send. I get these messages: Errors occured trying to send..." and then " Delete the photo email & resend it" also "Couldn't be sent, split into smaller parts...". My program is Windows Live Mail and the operating system is Windows 7 I believe. Frustrating as @#$%!!!, I never had issue like this with old OS and email program.
