When I try to send an email I get an error code (0x80048820 or 0x80048849 etc) which say "unable to send or receive messages for the Live account".  My inbox is alway empty and I know that is wrong.  How can I fix this as it has plagued me for 2 months.  I am not very savy on computerspeak because I am old.  I don't know why this keeps happening or what caused it.  Please help.  I appreciate any guidance.  Thank you.

How do I backup Windows Live Mail email and contacts?

My question must have already been asked a bazillion times but I can't find either the question or the answer.

 

I user Win 7 Home Premium with Windows Live Mail 2011.  I have a brand new backup drive ready to receive backup copies of all the email in my folders and all my contacts.  How do I perform a backup of those two things?

 

I suspect that I use Export and Import, but for the life of me I can't find any information anywhere!  Can someone help me find this so I can recover this valuable information in case of a crash?

 

Oddly enoughk there isn't even an appropriate Email Topic in the Topic selection box below.  I could be totally in the wrong forum but clear direction eludes me.

were do I find my outbox

I keep getting a display box that says that I have messages in my out box that it could not send. I would like to delete those messages, but I can't find my outbox at Hotmail. I have the in box, sent,drafts, etc but no "outbox" 

 

This occurs when I use windows live where I have more than one e mail a/c.

I now send my e mails direct from hotmail, but I would like to delete those messages that are in my invisable "outbox"

I can receive email but can not send out. spent 2 hrs with Verizon tech support to confirm settings are all correct. HP adv couldnt not help even though computer is only hours old. referred me to microsoft, tech on the phone sent me here.
I hope someone knows the fix so i can send and receive email . this makes no sense as i have win7 on my laptop with the exact same email settings and it works just fine. but on this new HP PC it just doesnt work. very confused and fustrated.

please help.

Why does live mail sometimes give you a message that it can not forward the attached pictures in a email that you are trying to forward?

Unable to send or receive messages for the Live account.: Server error 3204  I upgraded to outlook.com today and now Live Mail gets "Unable to send or receive messages for the Live account.: Server error 3204...." errors and it also hangs on "updaiting all calendar events"

I need this resolved asap.  As a Microsoft Server & Messaging Consultant I look fairly foolish not being able to get my live.com emails.

How can I use Windows Mail in Win7?

I've been putting up with Windows Live Mail for days on one of my new PC's.  I really hate it.  How can I replace it with Windows Mail?  The cumbersomeness of managing multiple email accounts, processing messages, inability to edit outgoing html source... I'm very disappointed.
