I typed the instructions for setting up categories in Live Mail and when I selected Contacts, I got my list but pressing Crrl-3 every place I could try did not gernerate any further possibilities, it didn't do anything. I can select the Groups I created in Hotmail before I lost the capabiliity to do anything with my contacts except REPLY TO and REPLY TO ALL functions. I cannot add any addresses that are not in the header of the received email. Live Mail seems to function okay except I create any new categories. The NEW section does not show up so I cannot select Category.

I had trouble recently with my Windstream hook-up and they said the problem was with the service to me and not my system. As a result, I was provided with a new modem and had to re-connect. Since then, my Outlook Express account has picked up a second
account which uses my name in reverse. Herman is my family name. When I try to send some of my mail, I get that error message window and my mail does not get sent, but goes to the outbox. Any help here?
When I open windows live mail the box with the list of messages opens immediately BUT it takes a minute or two for the message content to come up...????
I still have the same problem as in my first post. I'm sorry it has been marked as answered because I did not understand the instruction at the bottom of the email I received in reply. I'm new to the Community.
Thank you for the reply I received, but I’m sorry to say that it did not solve my problem. I need to say that I’m using Windows Live Mail (WLM) not Outlook. I think that was clear from my post although I didn’t state that specifically. The solution offered was for Outlook.
I nevertheless followed the advice offered. I updated Windows through Windows Update, with the exception of Bing Desktop which I don’t want. This did not solve the problem.
I have now installed IE10 and deleted IE 9 cookies. I had high hopes with this because a friend who had WLM and IE10 can open emails that I can’t and that seemed to be the only difference. Sorry to say that it didn’t work.
If anyone has it, I would be grateful for advice specifically on Windows Live Mail please.

There is an issue with a signature.
The signature automatically blows out in double line spacing while writing a new mail.
However, if I apply and then remove the Bullets, the signature reverts back to normal.

I "file" emails that I want to keep in "folders". I'm now using Windows Live, and have found that these folders won't stay closed. It would be so much easier if I didn't have to scroll through so many files that are unrelated to where I want to go to
store a new message. Help!!

I cannot send e-mail and all the fixes I have found ask me to click on accounts and then click on properties. OK except properties will not open.
I want to use math symbols like for "square root of" in my emails. I couldn't find anything in fonts.
Any suggestions? I'm using Windows live email. Thank you.
