In windows live mail, my ribbon bar disappears in my inbox causing difficulty deleting emails. I have to click on home to get the ribbon bar back each time. It is slow and tedious.  This change just happened this week. Have there been changes in the program?

Windows 7. Been using Live Mail for 12 months no problems with access.  Recently (4-5 days) was prompted to restart computer to install updates. Since then when starting Windows Live Mail (computer already on line with network) instead of live mail connecting to selected email acct a page appears "you are currently working off line- do you want to go on line now?  Yes/No "  Clicking "Yes" immediately brings up a repeat of that page.  Clicking Yes again does same again. Clicking yes again brings up the query "there was an error when attempting to connect to Windows Live Calendar Service.  Also a "go on line" icon has appeared on the taskbar since the "update".  Clicking it does nothing or brings up the same quesry as reported.  I have reloaded email account info, passwords etc but no good result.  Can't get in to get emails - currently using webmail for that!

Original title: Can not send or print

I can receive Windows Live mail but can not forward it, print it or initiate a new message. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it twice and that did not fix the problem "A problem occurred while trying to open this message" is what I get when I try to initiate any of the functions.

The connection to the server has failed.

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E

Protocol: SMTP

Port: 25

Connection timed out.

A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or the established connection failed because the connected host has failed to respond.

I have reconfigured it 3x with Comcast to no avail.  Called Microsoft - no phone assistance.  Comcast thinks it has been corrupted and Microsoft would help.  NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I am unable to forward incoming mail, mail I've sent, or anything else.  Can't locate a button or command that says "forward" or "forward to" anywhere!  This is getting impossible, and I'm heading off to send my mail to my yahoo account so I can forward it wherever I want! Of course, I can't FORWARD it to Yahoo, but I can retype it all as a new letter.

I'm having trouble sending email today, using windows 7, live mail. I have verified correct server settings with my provider. I can send using this provider on my other laptop which uses Windows XP. This just came up today with Unknown Server Error 421. Thanks!

Les

Hotmail was upgraded/changed to outlook.  Windows (Essentials) Live mail will no longer sync with hotmail.  Worked fine before the upgrade.  I find it absolutely ludicrous that a MICROSOFT product, ie., windows essential does not seem to be compatible with other MICROSOFT products, ie. hotmail/outlook.  Gmail works fine.  I already did the "live chat" - no suggestions worked.  They sent me a link to other self help articles but they were OLD articles and did not apply to this problem. HELP!!

I signed in on outlook.com.  I was just checking it out.  Now I find that I am checked out from Windows Live Mail.  Each time I bring up Windows Live Mail the “Sign in to Window Live Mail” window comes up and it will not accept my Microsoft password. I have tried everything I can think of.   It appears to be an error.  If I delete the window I can then use Windows Live Mail with no problem.   How do I correct the situation and check in to my Windows Live Mail?

I have Windows Live Mail & Windows 7.  I can't create a link to a webpage.  The address appears in my email, but not a link, so the recipient must cut & paste the address.  Is there a way to enable active content so this will create a link?

Hi.

I hope some kind soul can help me with my query.

I have Win live mail 2011, and quite like it. However, I have set up a signature, but want to add a couple more signatures for the 3 different email accounts I have.

For example, I have a sent from my "$%^$'s HTC" account.

And I have a standard email account.

Then I have my "not giving you my primary" email account.

So, would it be possible to set it up so that when I send an email from my HTC account it inserts the "sent from my HTC" signature, and then if I send an email from my Standard account it will insert the standard signature as opposed to the HTC one?

I do this so I can keep tract of whom I emailed and from where.

PS I know I can use the "Insert sig" from the drop down menu, but I was wondering if it could be set up as I have asked above.

Many thanks.
