New laptop with Windows8 and Outlook. Didn't understand how it worked so set up my hotmail as an alias but later removed it. I didn't realise it would delete my entire hotmail account which I've had that account for nearly 20 years! What can I do to get
it restored, please?

I started to get this message when i log in to my email. I have tried to log in with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari and still get this message "Sorry, there seems to be a problem with Outlook right now."
Notice that my cousin tried to log in with his email from the 4 different browsers and it worked with him.
i have updated everything and disabled my add-ons and still getting the same message!
Can anyone help me?

The name I wrote in the settings and the one displayed are different, and I can't change it.
I made an account on Facebook, which I didn't link, and it shows that name instead. I think I deleted that account by now but I'm still stuck with this. Whoever writes to me sees that name instead! How can I change it?
what is up with the imap server. it CONSTANTLY times out and SUCKS. important mail doesn't come through on my mac and when it does it's intermittent. Or it takes forever to send an email and the server is constantly downloading messages and now i'm getting
tons of SPAM. WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO IMPLEMENT MICROSOFT. One more week and i'm dumping all of these accounts and going back to gmail. This is ridiculous.
