I set up Windows Family Safety on my own laptop, which runs Windows 7 Home Professional, to control my daughter's laptop, which runs XP. It has never worked properly -- the password never works on the XP computer no matter how many times I reset it -- and I am trying to delete. I was successfully able to delete it from the Windows 7 laptop using the CMD line method, but I have not been able to do so with the XP system. I have tried the following:

1. Add or Remove Programs: I click Change/Remove for Windows Live Essentials and nothing happens

2. CMD line method: I log in as Administrator, type in the proper command. Sometimes nothing happens. Sometimes it says I need to be logged in as Administrator -- but I *am* logged in as Administrator. I have tried it without the (x86), and with the (x86); when I do that, it says it's not a valid path.

3. I have tried downloading a new version of wlarp.exe from g.live.com. That version says it isn't a valid 32-bit program.

I've read through a number of threads here; many of them point to a Family Safety board that apparently no longer exists.

Please advise.
