First WLM could not send photos, but now it will not send attachments

I was getting an error message saying "Do you want to go online?"  I would say Yes, but it wasn't letting me online.

No I am receiving the following message:

The connection to the server has failed.

Subject 'Opportunity'
Server: 'relay.fast.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 10013

I can get my incoming emails, but the outgoing ones don't go.

Thanks for your assistance ahead of time.

I am running Windows Live Mail on Win8 as the mail app shipped with Win8 is awful. One of the account users on the PC has a continuous spell check that operates in WLM, while the other has a greyed-out spell check icon above the ribbon and no functional spell-check facility. This inconsistency has no logic since only 1 instance of WLM is installed on the PC.  It must be remediable, but I can find no advice or solution anywhere. It's as if MS didn’t want us to use WLM and use the terrible Win 8 mail thing instead.
I have a large number of sub-folders within the Inbox of my 'outlook.com' account in WLM (Version 2011 (Build 15.4.3555.0308)), in the Folders pane.

Is there a way to add a shortcut link - to the 'root' Inbox folder - to the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) or somewhere else that is not dependent upon which Tab I have selected (Home, Folders, View, Accounts) in WLM, so that I do not have to keep scrolling up & down the Folder list pane? I know I can 'collapse' the (sub)Folder list, but a shortcut to the Inbox would be much more useful.

If this is not currently possible, can anyone provide a link to suggest future features for WLM?

I can't send or receive any e-mail using MSN hot mail with WLM.

One thing that I can do is I can add another e-mail account from another provider NetZero and send and receive e-mails from this e-mail host in WLM. That tells me that the ports must be open.

WLM keeps trying to update my calendar settings and dates.

It eventually gives me a Error3204 OX8DE20003 with MSN hot mail telling me nothing is being uploaded or down loaded in MSN hot mail. I believe it started from a spam e-mail that I accidently clicked on and it attacked my account. The persons name appears in my calendar and I can't remove it.

I've been using Outlook as a backup to get to my  MSN e-mail updates.

How do I get MSN hot mail to work again with WLM

Roy

The logo is there but it says the shortcut no longer works and the file has been moved or replaced. I have the latest version of Skype, which I understand will replace WLM.
Hi,

I'm getting the above error on my Win7 32BIT machine with 3GB RAM.

I've Windows Live Mail 2012 (Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3505.0912)) and since 15/01/2013 I cannot send and receive email via WLM.

I've removed and added my account and still the same.

Repaired the WLM and still the same.

Also, ran "sfc /scannow" on Windows 7 which found no issues.

Can access my mails via outlook or live websites.

Plse help as I ran out of options to try.

Regards
MagnaMara.
