My web guy was trying to help me and changed the password on my email accounts in Windows Live Mail. Now it doesn't work--and he doesn't know what to do. Neither do I.

If I leave the old password WLM SAYS it's checking the mail but doesn't find any mail. (I know from my webmail server that it's there!)

If I put in the new password, WLM asks for my password over and over again; it can't connect.

Please help if you can. Thank you!

Your WLM account requires direct authentication on WLM servers due to suspicious activity detected. Please login with your account on https://account.live.com. For the further information, please refer to IM+ FAQ, section ''What settings should I use to connect to MSN/Live Messenger?''

This is a re-post.  MSDN sent me here to report my observations.

I find there's a glitch in WLM 12.  I involves the "mouseover" action when selecting an email to read.

You will see unopened mail "Do you miss..." and the "mouseover" pop-up which shows the "Folder: MileagePlus - Comcast.."  This happens constantly while using WLM 12.  It makes detecting the real folder guesswork and a lot of extra steps to manage incoming mail.  I've  searched all over the Communities to find where to report "bugs."  I hope someone here can direct me.  Here's the link to the older post.  Previous WLM post.

As always - TIA.

I would like to auto forward certain messages with certain content/words in the subject line. The process in Folders under Message Rules is fairly clear, but just doesn't seem to work when applied. One thing I've noticed is each time I set it up, it defaults to scanning storage folders. I change it to Inbox, but it still doesn't work after I hit apply. So, how do I set it up to auto forward from my inbox. Yes, I use POP3.

Tom

I had a problem with WLM getting a report that database was being recovered. The I get error report that an unexpected error occurred and program will close, which it does. Any ideas??

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

All antivirus programs have been removed from the computer

Uninstalled and reinstalled WLM using lastest download available through microsoft. Performed 'repair' afterwards

Tried via outlook 2007 and the same error comes up

Has a solution been found for WLM 2012 and W8.1  categories?   I have 100 people to mail things to every other day and imputing everyone without error is killing me!!!

I can export email messages in WLM format without a hitch. My problem is that I cannot export in Outlook (Exchange) format.

I purchased HUP Office 2013 Pro several months ago, and finally decided to use Outlook 2013 for email. When I try to export my hundreds of existing emails from WLM Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331) running Win8.1, I get this error:

Outlook is fully setup and works great. I have tried with Outlook open and closed while trying the export, but the same error happens each time. Another forum suggested 3d party software ($49), but I refuse to pay for something that should work in the MS product.

When I click "Repair Now", WLM freezes for a few seconds and then closes. Outlook remains open and unaffected.

How to fix, please?

Roy
