It took me forever to make this video and it's really good. I need it done as soon as possible. So I downloaded all my files, edited it, added music and what not, and then I try to save it but it says, ---Windows Movie Maker can not save this file to your specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again.--- Everything it says I have done. The original files are on  my computer. I have tons of free disk space. I have tried it so many times! Fixed anything that might work, but nothing happens! It's so frustrating, and I NEED this video. Any suggestions??

I have Windows Movie Maker 2012 on a Windows 8 computer. I uploaded several .wmv files to the program and they played fine in the preview screen. After organizing the files and saving the project I then tried to upload additional .wmv video files to the project. These files showed up with an error code saying the files were corrupted and had to be deleted. So I deleted these files, but then when I went back to play the first files that were saved and had played previously it also told me those were corrupt and had to be deleted. Now whenever I upload a .wmv file it will start to play in the preview window and then stop and give me the message that it is a corrupt file that needs to be deleted. Please help me fix this problem. Thanks.

i'm running windows XP with SP3 and recently installed movie maker. i've made a couple of movies but when i try to save the movie it gives me the following error

windows movie maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the savings location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available, and try again.

i've checked all that is stated but still i'm getting the same error message. i've even changed the quality settings to see if that helps but still no success. it says that the estimates space required is 46.96mb i've got  60.56gb free space on my drive. the movie that i have made to test all the different settings are 00:03:01.04long according to movie maker.

can any one please help me with this problem?

IN THE WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER IN VISTA THERE WAS A STORYBOARD WHERE YOU COULD DRAG ELEMENTS OF YOUR MOVIE ONTO THE STORYBOARD.

Does anyone know why windows movie maker [ version 2012 ] in Win 8.1pro cannot open  the video portion of .vob files? The audio version opens, but not the video. Thanks for any replies!

Hi,

Movie maker doesn't allow to open .xesc files from Microsoft Encoder screen capture to edit. I have seen this file types are not supported by Windows Movie Maker. Any one has a suggestion on editing .xesc files ? Is Microsoft coming up with any updates for Windows Movie Maker to edit XESC files ?
