Hello,
When I go to save a video on Windows Movie Maker the saving process is just fine but when I click on the video to view it the entire video is just a blank screen with audio. I've tried multiple things trying to solve this problem but nothing has worked. Please help??

When I try to upload a video from Windows Movie Maker to Facebook, I get this error message: The following problem occurred in your movie 0x800488e5. What does that mean? What should I do to successfully upload a video to Facebook? Thanks!

I cannot edit in windows movie maker.  The area to edit in windows movie maker is shaded in gray and does not give me access to edit my project.  When I open up a picture file, fade-in, fade-out and speed are not available to me.  The only thing that I can edit is the duration of the picture. What do I need to do to correct this problem and get access to editing?  Please Help.
Thank you.

I just made an interview with a friend in a cafe with my camera and am able to open it in Windows Movie Maker.  I'd like to keep the content of what she said, but there is a lot of background noise (waiters talking, dishware clattering, etc).  Is there any way to filter out the background noise but keep the content (and possibly add music to the background instead of the noise)?
I have a new laptop that came with Windows 8.1. I downloaded Windows Essentials and Windows Movie Maker Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3508.0205) won't play the video from VOB files. The Audio does play. I had Windows 7 previously and the VOB files played just fine.

I copy the file from the DVD and store it on the computer before trying to play it. The file will play just fine in Windows Media Player, VLC Media Player and Windows Photo Gallery. I tried selecting the file in Photo Gallery and then selecting Create, Movie and it opens the file in Movie Maker but will NOT show the video. I did download the KLite Codec pack but that did not help.

I did download FreeMake file converter to convert the file to WMV, however that is an extra step and now I end up with 2 large files instead of 1.

I did run a repair on Windows Movie Maker through the Control Panel but that didn't fix it.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have just edited my first video with Windows Movie Maker and now have a 38 minute film which I want to save but every time I try to save it to the recommended setting, when it has almost finished saving an error message pops up to say that there isn't enough space to save it yet my computer, a new one, has 1.72 TB of space.  I tried saving it to an external hard drive with 182 GB of free space - same thing happens.

When...if...I manage to save my film, how can I then put it onto a format (e.g. DVD, memory stick) so I can send it to friends in France?

I'm not very knowledgeable about the computer terms so if you can use words for dummies I'd appreciate it!

I am running Windows 7 64-bit and have had Windows Movie Maker 2012 for around 5 months. It did not give me any trouble until recently. I try and import the same type of video files as I have in the past, but this time Windows Movie Maker 2012 gets really slow and then crashes. I looked on the forums and saw that Windows Movie Maker 2011 would work, but upon saving my project, the program does not respond and it crashes as well. Nothing has changed with my computer over the past 5 months and the program suddenly does not cooperate. I have tried uninstalling and then re-installing the software several times, but I still end up with the same problem. Is there anything I can do? I have tried all other free editing softwares and none work as fast and as well as this. Help please!
Need help fast! I uploaded and made a series of videos without realising the sound wasn't working on the clips I was using, and managed to fix the sound issue on the original clips, but if I go to re-upload them to re-make the videos with sound this time they stay without sound, because they have already been 'analysed' once by MM and it 'knows' them. How can I re-upload my clips and make them work with sound? (You know when you use a clip for the first time it prepares the video for playback quality before you can play it, basically I need to get it to do that again to all the ones it has already done.)

I hope I explained that okay...I am using Windows Live Movie Maker on Windows 7 Starter, and the video has to be done before Tuesday. Any help would be much appreciated!
