Hi all,

im facing some difficulties with Windows Mail. as stated in the title, i am unable to gain access to my most recent emails. whenever i click the send/receive button, Windows Mail only downloads old emails from 2 to 3 years ago. is there any way that i can rectify this problem and regain access to my emails through Windows Mail? my gmail account is working fine but i would much rather work with Windows Mail.

appreciate any help,

Same problem as everyone else sending photos on windows 8.1 and trying to find an e-mail association. The standard answer seems to be to have a default mail client. I have windows mail and it is my default and it still does not work. I have aol mail and also Gmail. When I send a photo from share in the charms the email choices come up and I send the photo out. A few minutes later I get a message  that there is a problem sending messages from aol.com or Gmail.com right now-check with provider for info. I then go to windows mail and open the out box where the photo has gone to and have to delete it to get rid of the message. The same for Gmail. Tell me this-- is windows mail considered a client or not and also the default that should associate with photo gallery? These photos go to the outbox and not the in box. Also when on pictures it still states there is no mail association.

Please for once show us all exactly how to do the association.

Thx

Hi,

Since I changed my live.com password in outlook.com, i cannot access emails in windows live, outlook express and outlook 2007.

In Windows Mail and Messenger it keeps on asking for the password.

In outlook 2007 it doesn't connect to the server (neither through outlook connector nor pop/smtp).

I can access the account from the internet in all browsers, but not in email  programs.

I changed the password in my Microsoft account, as it was the only way I could find how to change it for Windows Live.

I changed it in outlook.com again. It still doesn't help.

I also discovered I cannot sign in to Windows Live Messenger as well. Though my SkyDrive (One Drive) connects fine.

Any advice what to do?

A recent motherboard issue has forced me to go to my laptop. fortunately my hard drive was undamaged. Now I need to move my Windows Mail contacts to my Windows Live on the laptop. I copied all of my Windows Mail files to a folder on my laptop desktop but it won't import the contacts. I'm not concerned about the e-mails - I can go to the external and read those but I need the contacts. I have a backup for my Windows Mail but that is not helping.

I am using Windows 7 on a 64 bit computer.

Suggestions please???

In Outlook or Windows Mail, I can copy a list of email address into the field "To:" and the system will automatic use the semi-colon or comma to separate them.

How can do that in Windows Live Mail?

Best Regards.

I used to be able to add a contact to an existing group in Windows Mail with out adding this contact to my regular contact list.

This does not seem possible in this version of Windows mail.

has this oprion been eliminated or am I missing it?
