Unable to access my windows live mail

I use Windows Live mail to read and store emails from a number of addresses and checked them this morning with no problems, when I went to check them this evening everything has disappeared.

I have no storage folders and no emails at all, how can I get them back?

I had lots of unimportant emails, I was deleting them and then from the deleted folder, my laptop froze when deleting and I realised there was an important email but when the programme (windows live mail) responded it deleted it. how can i recover it when deleted from the deleted folder?

I have had a msn.com email address for years.  As of this past week I can no longer access it through my computer or phone, both of which access it through the pop server.

I have reset my password and can access my email if I go to msn.com and sign-in, but receive invalid username or password when I attempt to use windows live mail.

Help!

I removed a POP3 email account from my windows live mail client. I want to get access to the emails that should have been saved locally. Where do I find the file containing these emails after the account has been removed from the windows live mail client
Hi!

I had a motherboard failure on New Year's Day. I luckily had a backup. I pulled the info for my Windows Live Mail off of the old hard drive. I have all of the folders. I did begin to restore yesterday and have run into some issues. I am at this point unsure of how to proceed. Please bare with me as I list the current issues in the order that they occurred. I appreciate your help in advance.

I was using Windows 7 before the motherboard failure. My new machine runs Windows 8. I do not have any anti-virus on it yet. Windows Firewall and Windows Defender are running.

I have 12 email accounts that I was restoring. They range from Hotmail, and Gmail to domain name accounts.

As I was restoring I noticed that some accounts, the domain accounts, did not import the messages. It tells me that it IS importing the thousands of messages to "inbox" for example, but they are not there or anywhere that I can find. I tried to do it again, but got the same results. This is happening to a few accounts.  The .eml files are definitely there and it is definitely going through the "import" function showing that they are being imported.

Second, none of my sub-folders get loaded. I know that the .eml are there and it shows that it is importing them, but alas, no files are there. I really need these loaded in the same structure that they were previously in WLM. I can see that the sub-folder structure is there in the backup files.

Third, under Send/Receive I have duplicate account names for almost all of my accounts. This is very annoying. I suspect that I caused this when I retried the imports, but I am not sure. Regardless, I need a way to fix this.

I hope that someone can help me to figure this out. I really need my email back to the way it was.

Windows Live 2009 is on my computer and I use it to read newsgroups with. Here is the error message I am getting:

Windows Live Mail cannot connect to the Internet, possibly because an antivirus or firewall program won't allow it. Make sure any antivirus or firewall programs on your computer allow Window Live Mail (wlmail.exe) to access the Internet.

Using the help feature, I might opt to get all over 170 updates, however, I am afraid that If I take the updates, I will end up with the new version of Windows live that no longer has the newsgroups.

Can you recommend a solution? Is there another newsgroup reader for example I could download somewhere? (Ideally for free, but quality is vital as these are classroom back ups).

hi, every time I send a windows live mail from my windows 8.1 computer, a small thumbnail picture is automatically added to the address line. This is not visible when writing the email and does not show for that email in my sent items folder.  However, is does appear to the recipient.

How do I switch this feature off please?

I have just recently downloaded Street Fighter X Tekken from steam. While i don't need to login to my account it prevents me from saving in the game. When the window opens for me to sign in, I enter my email address and then it auto fills the password. It makes it un-editable, i cant delete the current password or add to it. I have a pretty long password and im 100% sure the password supplied is wrong. When it tries to download my profile information it says my account is locked and so i go to account.live.com to fix the issue. I have no problems logging into my account this way, but it doesn't help me logging into the account via the game.

Am i missing a step? Or is this an issue that would belong to Steam? And there doesn't seem to be a specific category for Windows Live ID, so i went with the Windows Live Mail, because the login information is the same.
