I can not clean up contacts in Windows live mail.  I reparied windows essentials 2012 twice and that did not help.  When I click on the clean up tab it redirects me to a microsoft page that is no longer availible.

I can’t send emails in windows live mail

It is a sudden error, had been working fine until recently. Initially none were returned, but today after a restart I go the following message –

'Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

Subject 'Fw: test'

Server: 'smtp.outlook.com'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F

Protocol: SMTP

Port: 465

Secure(SSL): Yes'

I can’t send emails in windows live mail, and the sending address is set up correctly.

It is a sudden error, had been working fine until recently. Nothing has been changed with computer, no new programs.

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F

Your message couldn't be delivered because you weren't recognized as a valid sender. Make sure your sending address is set up correctly and try to send the message again.

I have imported my contacts csv files into Windows Live Mail and I can see them all under the Contacts button down left hand side. However, when I go into Mail and New message and click on 'To' to add an address there are none of my contacts showing. The only way I can send a message is via Contacts - open contact and click on address. This is a pain when I want to send an email to multiple contacts. I am running Windows 7.
Windows live mail deletes emails from my gmail server after downloading, I checked the advanced properties in WLM but don't have the option for leaving mail on server - When I first linked my gmail to WLM the incoming and outgoing servers were POP3 but for some reason its now IMAP? Is there a way I can set WLM to leave emails on the server or can I change the IMAP back to POP3 without losing my folders - any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a new laptop, and upgraded to Windows 8.1.

But from the very start I keep getting

"Windows Live Mail

Some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks...

Unable to send or receive messages for the Aol (jeremypssm) account. Header download for the 'Drafts' folder did not complete.

Could not complete. Could not download new messages from the IMAP server.

Server Response: The server did not respond to the IMAP command before the connection was terminated.

Server 'imap.aol.com'

Windows Live Mail Error lD:0x800CCC0F

Protocol: IMAP

Port: 143

Secure (SSL): No"

What's going on? And how can I prevent this from continually appearing?

Help would be much appreciated!

Dear Member,

I have been trying to download my messages from my gmail account with windows live mail 2011.

I have various folders in the gmail account (viz. inbox, all mail etc.) and have various labels applied to my emails. The total no. of emails in my mailbox is about 25000.

Now while downloading my mails with windows live, what I am observing is that the windows live has created its own folder for each folder in gmail and for each label in gmail and while synchronising the mailbox, the windows live has downloaded all the mails in gmail's inbox, then downloaded the same emails again while synchronising the all mails folder and then downloaded the same mails again while synchronising each and every other folder and label.

This is resulting in repeated downloads of same mail and lots of storage space being occupied.

Though the total storage space that's occupied in gmail is about 13GB, its already about 20GB that's consumed on my hard drive and mails are still downloading.

What is the best way to synchronise windows live mail to gmail and is there any other utility that's better than windows live mail?

Regards

Nitin Mahajan

I keep getting this email message and I cant get my emails. Please someone help!!!!

In my Folder Pane (I think that's what it is called - the strip down the left!) in Windows Live Mail I have:

1. Quick Views

2. Five different account names

3. Outbox

4. Storage Folders

All I want to do is to move the Storage Folders up to appear immediately below Quick Views.

I thought I had worked out how to do this, by right clicking, then choosing 'move up'. Aren't I clever I thought, only to find that next time I opened Live Mail, everything was back where it started!!

Not so clever after all.........

Can anyone tell me how to make the items stay in the order that I put them.

The conversation view does not include mails that I have sent via reply. Why would I want to view just one side of a conversation? Either something is not setup right or this feature is not working properly. If I drag my sent messages to my inbox, they show up. Any thoughts?
