When I'm on my Windows Live Mail I try and go to open my windows account. (under under Home and the sign in icon)  Every time I attempt to sign in it says that my username and password is incorrect.  I have no problem signing in to  Windows when I'm on the internet so I know that I am using the right username and password.  Can someone help me?
Hi guys,

I've posted this question before, but the person assisting me seems to have fallen off the planet.

I'm having an issue in Windows Live Mail where I get a notification when junk mail arrives. Even if the mail is instantly moved straight into my junk mail folder, I get the new email notification and the new mail icon appears on the program bar.

Is someone able to let me know how I can fix this issue? It's extremely annoying.

Thanks.

Santa was kind and brought me a new ,Win 7, computer. I'm in the process of transferring all my information to the new machine.File transfer Wizard has brought all the normal stuff over, and the .pst outlook back-up file. I've manged to move my contacts over using a memory stick(as a CSV file) but same trick won't work for saved e-mail. I also need to bring my Calender over.
All the info is in the  .pst file, but I gather that only Outlook can open this ; does anybody know how I can transfer the Calender and e-mails?
Thanks in hopeful anticipation,
Arthur

We downloaded WLMail onto our Windows8 computer.  Now when we bring up Windows Live Mail it automatically downloads all our emails AND marks the first one as read.

How do we turn off both of these functions?  We don't want to automatically sync or mark a message as read.

I'm trying to add a Yahoo mail account to my Windows Live Mail client and, in running through the wizard to add a new account, it is asking me to confirm the incoming server address and outgoing server address.  I know these things are normally fairly standard strings for each product but does anyone know the details I need to put in for a yahoo mail account?  Any help gratefully received.
Thanks.
Hello,

I would like to know if there is any way to prevent limited account users of Windows 7 from setting up new email accouns in Windows Live Mail.

I assume there might be some changes to do in the registry keys but what changes?....

Thank you.

Hi

I am also having problems with my password in Windows Live Mail. I set up a new email address a couple of days ago with my ISP, and it works fine on their webmail page, it also works ok on my phone and tablet. I put the details into Windows Live Mail, and it keeps asking me for my username and password. I keep clicking ok but the box keeps coming back. If I click cancel, it says that I entered an incorrect password but I know that I haven't. I phoned Microsoft this morning and the man wouldn't help me, he just pointed me to this website. The error message is as follows :

Unable to send or receive messages for the Talktalk(nutty102) account. An incorrect password was entered.

Server Error : 0x800CCC90

Server Response :-ERR Authentication failed

Server : mail.talktalk.net

Windows Live Mail Error ID : 0x800CCC92

Protocol : POP3

Port : 110

Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Thank you.
