I just started using windows live mail 2012. Sometimes the incoming contacts names are their true names and other times it's their email addresses. How could I set to display only the contacts names?

After recovering mysteriously disappearing email messages through a five hour process, I would compose an email, send it, and then try to return to email home.  However, a dialog box would appear saying not connected, with one line below saying one message had been sent and another was being executed, with a spinning "eternal" circle that never goes away.  I then reboot and all seems well, except the process starts again as soon as I try to send another email.  I have tried suggestions in the forum, including repairing Windows 11 Essentials, and nothing changes.  I have never had this issue before.  DFK

I am currently running Windows 7 & using Windows Live Mail 2011 as my e-mail. I know there is a version 2012 available, but I have never received a notice to update. I ran Windows Update manually, but it doesn't indicate that I have any updates available. I'm not sure what, if anything, is the difference between the two or if it's worth updating, but if so, how can I update just Windows Live Mail w/o having to update Windows Live Essentials?

***This only happens in Windows Live Mail***

I have three printers - Savin 8025, Star 500 and a HP C5200.

The Star printer is only for receipts.

In Windows Live Mail, I go to print an email.  I choose the Savin and click print.  The Savin prints, but the output is in the Star format.

I can print the same email on the Star and Savin and then place them on top of one another and hold them to a light where you can see through them and they are EXACTLY the same.

The Savin should be printing across the page like normal Letter size paper, but instead it only prints about 2.5 inches wide.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both printers and checked paper sizes.

I am fine with outlook but when I log in windows live mail, sub-folders disappear? How come?

Hello everyone,

I am trying to set up a replacement computer and getting all of the programs I like on it. One of my favorite programs is Windows Life Mail, where I have a Hotmail, Gmail and pop account. The new computer is 16GB ram, i7-4770 Processor, NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 645, Dell XPS 8700

After loading many programs up, I installed Windows Live essential for Windows 8.1, which included, Windows Live Mail, Movie Maker, Live Writer, and Photo Gallery. Mail seemed to work and I imported my contact list, (this was Sat.).

I noticed a problem starting Sunday afternoon, when I tried to check my mail. there was a warning saying a Live dll was missing, (I don't remember which one). A windows troubling shooting site said to remove mail and other Live essential programs and reinstall them. I did that and now I am getting this message when I try to load Live Mail:

This a text version  of the error message.

wlmail.exe - Ordinal Not Found

(RED circle with a white X in the middle)

The Ordinal 52 could not be located in the dynamic link library

C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Shared\UXCore.dll.

I tried to "repair" live essentials but it didn't help. I also tried to remove and install all live essential programs and reinstall them once again to no avail (they all get the same error message except Live Writer).

The file in question, C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Shared\UXCore.dll only appears in one place. UXCore.dll is not anywhere else, and if I uninstall the programs it disappears and when I re-install them it shows up again. It is version 16.4.3522.0110 and 2.44MB is size, dated 1/10/2014 12:29PM

I removed the live suite again and manually deleted a common empty Live folder in program86 folder. then installed mail only. Same problem.

Please help me get back one of my favorite programs, Windows Live Mail.

I an running Windows Live Mail 2012 under Windows 7.

On one of my email accounts, my deleted mail file summary shows a large number of deleted emails, although I have emptied the folder, but Live Mail cannot find any of these listed mails. Also, no new deleted mails are added to the list.

I would also mention that, when starting Live Mail after booting up, Live Mail says it has to recover the database

What is going on?

Lawrence

I recently sent a message to several email addresses under BCC.  Now I am getting an error message telling me the message could not be delivered and mentioned one of the email addresses.  The error message won't go away.  Also................did the email message go to the other email addresses listed????
