Following upgrade from Windows 8 to 8.1, Windows Live Mail 2012 opens but is unable to send or receive messages. I get error message 0x800C013E.  Account details are set correctly and I had no problems with Live Mail before upgrade to OS.

Any suggestions appreciated.

I can see that I have a new email from GooglePlay in my Gmail account, but the image does not show; how to fix? Thanks. Note that when I go directly to my Gmail account (outside of Live Mail), the image is OK.

All of my e-mail messages are not coming through to my Windows Live Mail.  If I go to yahoo's website and check my mail there, all of the messages are there.  Also, I when I tried to set up folders so the mail would be sent to it that related to the content, it blocked everybody I had set a folder up for.  This started about a month ago, and I am tired of having to check two places to check my mail.  I never had a problem with Windows mail before.  I have Windows 7.

I just replaced my Windows 7 PC with a Windows 8.1 PC.  I have three AOL email addresses, all of which I want to be able to access on one pane.  I was successfully using Windows Live Mail on my old PC, and I've been trying to use Windows 8.1 Mail on the new one.  I've noticed that Windows 8.1 Mail doesn't have as many options as Windows Live Mail, such as font selection and ability to get read-receipts.  What do you advise?  Should I try to locate and download Windows Live Mail to my new computer, or is there a better option?  I want to continue to use my AOL email addresses.

Windows Live Mail suddenly began downloading messages that were previously downloaded - and many deleted - and did not stop until it reached 598. Far worse, however, is that every one of my storage folders has disappeared.  These contained a great detail of essential information and correspondence for my work.  Where did they go?  How can I get all this back?

OS: Windows 8

Windows Live Essential 11 Version 15.4.355

I've been using Windows Live mail for almost 6 months , only today i encountered this error message

"Failed to connect to a Windows Service" and

" Windows Live Mail could not be started it many not be installed correctly. make sure that your disk is not full"

I do checked online for possible help but issue still persist

Troubleshooting I've done on my end

1. Reinstall the  Windows Live Essential from the Microsoft Website

2. Make sure all Windows update is installed and up to date

3. Under the Services make sure the "Windows Live ID sign-in assistance was set to Automatic

4. Restart PC

I conducted all the steps above but problem still occur. I'm asking for immediate assistance as I need this for my work

Thank you

When I launch my Windows Live Mail sometimes it says my Windstream mail account name or password is incorrect.

I have verified the information and it is correct.

Why does it work at times and not other times?

I Can't set up Live mail to use my att e-mail account. The att folks couldn't help me. I want to transfer my Outlook Express e-mails and address books to Live Mail, but the latter won't handle POP mail. I tried to change the setting in Live Mail to LMAP from POP, but it still didn't work. Can this be done?
