    Can not get my MSN email through Windows Live Mail...This is a sudden occurrence, has been working fine for years.

    Error message reads

                              Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (email address appears here) account

                               Server: https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync aspx

                              Windows Live Mail Error ID 0x800488EB

    Have tried redoing my profile 

    Deleting the account and re-installing in Live Mail

    Un-Install and Re-Install the live mail from my laptop

    resetting my system back to a date where the program worked fine

    sending ping 65.55.33.106 -f -1 1500

            Packet needs to be fragmented but DF set.  (this line appears 4 times)

            Error message for that reads:  Packets sent =4 Received =0 Lost =4 (100% loss)

    nothing works........tried MSN support and they were so very rude...can understand if they can not fix it but could not even direct me to a place that could then hung up....Windows Technician (who also couldn't help) at least told me to post problem here.

    I have got to believe there is someone out there that understands what is happening and knows what to do to fix it....

    I am running Windows Live Mail 2012 on a Windows 7 PC with a serious problem.  Every time I open the program the Windows Installer goes through a new install which takes about 2 minutes to complete.  Then the programs opens and functions normally.  Has anyone seen this happen before ?

    I am also unable to update Security Essentials and Windows Update on this PC as well.  I don't believe the two are related.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.  thanks

    Thank you, Smittychat. I followed the link and was "told" that Messenger is no longer available or supported; however, it does come with Windows Live Mail via Windows Live Essentials. Now it rears its ugly head every time the computer's booted.

    This is not good. BTW, I said the same when asked why I didn't find the link helpful. :)

    I have created a number of Categories from individual email addresses. 
    These addresses all work OK if used singly.
     
    When I try to send an email to a Category, (I prefer to all them Groups) I
    frequently get a message that the addresses have not been recognised.  Browsing
    this problem, I see that many other have had the same problem.
     
    If I rebuild the Group (which can be quite time consuming for a large
    number of addressees), with exactly the same individual email addresses and
    cancel the old Group, the email goes out perfectly OK.
     
    On one occasion recently I edited a Group that did not work by adding my
    own email address and then sent the email without any problem.
     
    I used Outlook Express for many years without ever having this problem.  I
    really do think Windows Live Mail 2012 has a problem with Categories.
     
    Looking forward to hearing that you have cracked it!

    would like to ask some few questions.

    > Does the same issue when you send an email using a web browser?

    > Have you already tried to send an email individually?

    in the group that might be causing this issue.

    I have 4 @msn.com email accounts that I access through Windows Live mail.  Starting yesterday, May 9, 2014, I get an error message for 2 of them: 

    Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (xxxxxxx) account.

    Server Error: 0x800488EB
    Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
    Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800488EB

    BUT ONLY 2 OF THEM!  It looks like there are issues with the same 2 account in Outlook.  Anyone have any ideas to resolve these issues?  I have read & tried several solutions that have been offered, but nothing has worked yet.
