Recently been hacked so have reset password via Microsoft but the Windows Live Mail still won't let me in, even with new password
I am trying to set up a Custom Domain for e-mail hosting using Windows Live Mail.  I have followed the instructions on 'Windows Live Admin Center'  but have only succeeded in being able to receive e-mails into the account and not been able to send.  When I try it asks for the account to be verified...this i did on two occasions via text code, it still asks for the account to be verified and will no longer send a verification text code.

I have contacted my Domain provider 1&1 but their reply was:
Thank you for contacting us.

Are you trying to associated your  mailserver to MS365? If so, we suggest to contact the Microsofy to check if your domain name has been fully associated to MS365. As we checked the domain name was pointed to the mailserver below:

IdyllicImagery.co.uk mail is handled by 10 f87445bde5eb0f44ae85653611ac38.pamx1.

Please contact your mail provider to check the outgoing server. Thank you!

So I am no further forward.

Any suggestions?
Regards
Andy

Win 8 Live Mail was also working fine for me until I upgrade to Win 8.1 this morning. Now it constantly give error message that it cannot find the email servers. I have 2 gmail (IMAP) account and one streamyx (POP3) account and all have similar errors. Please refer to error message and mail server set ups below. Please take note that I have no issue with all 3 mails when I use Windows Mail app. I have also repaired Win Essential 2012 successfully but problem did not go away.

Uninstalled Win Essentials 2012 and reinstall from a version downloaded in Feb, still the same error. Also noticed that my IE is acting funny as it will not be able to open some Microsoft websites (with message "This page can't be displayed") such as " http://email.about.com/gi/o.htm?zi=1/XJ&zTi=1&sdn=email&cdn=compute&tm=23&f=00&tt=13&bt=2&bts=2&zu=http%3A//answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/livemail" and many others.

Windows Mail worked fine. Using IE and log on to Gmail also worked fine. Able to download and send new emails but Win Live Mail continue to show error message -- The host imap.gmail.com could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Same error message even after changing IE security from Medium High to Medium.

1.  Is there a way to add stationery for the background in Outlook?

2.  How do I make my calendar show up on my Outlook mail page?  It shows up on Windows Live Mail 2012 but thought I would try this one out.

3.  If I had a hotmail account, can it be moved over to Outlook, or do I need to make a new account with that name in Outlook? If it can be moved over,
will the folders go with it like Inbox, Sent, Save, Delete, Drafts, etc.

4.  If I have to make a new account with the old hotmail address, is that considered an alias and will that have the folders needed to separate the
     two accounts?

5.  Sometimes I go out to check for new email - is there a way to make it do a search on demand? Or is there a setting for it to search every so many
minutes?  Windows Live 2012 has a send/receive button I can click whenever I want to do a quick search for a message.

6.  Since I already have my main email set up on here, why aren't I getting my mail? Nothing has come through for the past 2 hours, so I turned Windows Live back on and received 5 messages.
I use Windows Live Mail to access Outlook inbox. I often receive an error message which reads:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Outlook (davidhorrocks) account.
Server Error: 0x80048849
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80048849
Does anyone know what the error ID means?

I am using Windows Live Mail.

I am using an html file for my signature.

I have an image in my signature file.

When I click on "Email message" to create a new email, the signature file loads just fine.

However, the image in my signature is selected and the "Format" tab under "Picture Tools" is selected and highlighted.

How can I get this to not do this and just have a cursor at the top of the pane so that I can just begin typing and not have to click off of the image?

I have looked all over for an answer to this, but it does not appear to be a problem for others...
