I recently had to change my e-mail address, and as a result. I changed my ID on Windows Live from my old to my new e-mail address.
This seems to have created two separate Windows Live Mail accounts, with my Calendar and Contacts associated with the old account.
So I now find that:
# If I log in to Windows Live Mail using my old (now defunct) e-mail address as ID I get the correct e-mails, Contacts and Calendar, as I would have done when my old e-mail was my actual e-maill address.
# However, if I log in with my new e-mail address as ID, I get the right e-mails, but the wrong (out of date or default) Contacts and Calendar.
I tried to fix this by making the old e-maill address an alias in the new account, but it won't let me do that.
QUESTION: How can I link the old (correct) Contacts and Calendar to the account with the new ID?
I use a btinternet email. Worked perfectly well until a coiple of months ago. Then sporadically got the following errors:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Btinternet (nickcjames) account.
Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR inactivity timeout
Server: 'mail.btinternet.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800420CD
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No
Unable to send or receive messages for the Btinternet (nickcjames) account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems or a long period of inactivity.
Server: 'mail.btinternet.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110

Now it doesn't work at all.....
Help!
Hi all,
My Windows Live email ceased working on 29th November 2013. I am using IE 11 on Windows 7 Professional.
When I go into Windows Live Email send receive I get the following error message.
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003 Server Error: 3204 (Was: Unable to send or receive messages). There is nothing in my Outbox
Please can anyone suggest something not to difficult to resurrect my email.
Many thanks in anticipation.
