I have having problems linking my Online ID to my Windows 7 computer.  I am fully connected to the internet and I can access my ID from the online side, but I can't get it to link to my Windows 7 computer.  My ID is linked to my windows 8 computer, so I don't think my ID is the issue either.

Here is what is happening:

Link Online IDs issue:

Start -> in the search for programs type: "Link online IDs"

Under the Online Provider heading I see a Windows Live ID area with a link "Link online ID"

I select this and a Windows Live Sign In dialog appears, I enter credentials

I receive the following:

"The network location cannot be reached.  For information about network troubleshooting, she Windows Help. (0x80048265)

I have no idea how to solve this.  I have been searching on the web trying to find a solution and I haven't found anything.

Thank you!

Long story short, my GFWL account was suspended in September 2011 after I disputed some fraudulent charges.  My account has been suspended and locked since that time, and I am unable to log in to GFWL when playing games that require it.  I get a message saying that my account has been suspended because of a payment issue.  I was able to change the payment method after logging in to commerce.microsoft.com.

After spending several hours with the XBox Live chat people (which was where I was directed when I tried to un-suspend my account), I was informed that the GFWL support team no longer exists, and I eventually got a response from the Customer Advocacy Team telling me to do the following steps:

1.       Go to accounts.live.com.

2.       Click Can't access your account?

3.       Enter your Windows Live ID and enter the characters provided.

4.       Choose the bottom radio button; I can't use any of these options..

5.       Enter an alternate email address for Windows Live ID Support to contact and click, Continue.

6.       Fill in your information under the Account Information form.

7.       You will be contacted as soon as they complete their investigation.

I did all of those and received an email stating that my identity was confirmed.  I checked my account and it's still locked and suspended.  What do I have to do next to get this taken care of?

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong area, the categories that I can choose from don't really apply to this, so I chose one that was close.

I have just recently downloaded Street Fighter X Tekken from steam. While i don't need to login to my account it prevents me from saving in the game. When the window opens for me to sign in, I enter my email address and then it auto fills the password. It makes it un-editable, i cant delete the current password or add to it. I have a pretty long password and im 100% sure the password supplied is wrong. When it tries to download my profile information it says my account is locked and so i go to account.live.com to fix the issue. I have no problems logging into my account this way, but it doesn't help me logging into the account via the game.

Am i missing a step? Or is this an issue that would belong to Steam? And there doesn't seem to be a specific category for Windows Live ID, so i went with the Windows Live Mail, because the login information is the same.

I signed up with clickworker.com, and qualified to work on UHRS marketplace. UHRS created a windows live ID for me, so I do not know any of the account info to retrieve the ID. My old computer crashed, and the ID was stored on there. I cannot login to UHRS marketplace to get support, and I have recieved no response from clickworker.com. Please tell me how I can retrieve this windows live ID without knowing the info. Please help, need to get back to work. Thanks.
I have been trying to change my profile name, however, I keep getting the following message: This profile is temporarily unavailable

I have contacted support, but they aren't helping very much.  Does anyone have the same issues? and how to fix?

Thanks so much.

I am unable to access my user profile from within Outlook.

The error message that I see is:

I contacted support who gave the following response:

Hello

We have received a recent request to reactivate your account, however, when we checked we noticed that your account does not appear to be closed. We have also reexamined the content and have determined that the files are not in violation of the Microsoft COC or TOU
. If you are still unable to access the account there may be a technical issue with it. You can contact the technical support team at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us

Sincerely,
Marian

I notice that other users are experiencing the same issue which seems to require more technical investigation.  Could my account also be checked so that this problem can be resolved?

Thanks in advance -

I am trying to assign a Domain to a windows live id so I can administer the email.  But right now is says it is pending the DNS configuration.  I did this a week ago so I am not sure the delay or if I have done it correctly.

Second problem.  I accidently registered this domain using the wrong windows live ID. How do I change it once the it is actually configured?  Or can I cancel the current service and redo it under the live ID I want to use?  I am unsure if I cancel the service is if I will still be able to use the domain or not is my concern.
